The Mordecai house is located in Raleigh, NC. They previouly owned thousands of acres of land and held enslaved Africans to farm the land and maintain the property. The Mordecai's and the enslaved lived and worked this land for five generations. Pay the $7 fee for the tour is worth every cent!

Found out tour was canceled when we got there seeing a small sign on one board. Once we contacted the number shown, was hung up on once and not answered the other time, we spoke to someone saying the money should be refunded on a few days....what kind of customer service is this? Lastly, when contacting the director, only email listed on the site, the site also did not show any cancellations, he has yet to contact me.
