Very nice, trees are awesome... don't come too late, from 5 p.m. there are only limited buses going into the valley and that's quite suboptimal, since the hiking route is really only for experts. Otherwise a lot of beautiful nature and fresh air. Better put on good shoes.

The walk is a down hill paved hike to the Grove. Once you get to the Grove you have a winding trail through the giant sequoias. It is a beautiful quick hike.

Nice walk downhill to the grove. Uphill is always harder, but this is a short hike. Moderate cover from sun.

We saw some dogs, they were all on leads, but I think they must be? You could check on the Yosemite website to double check-up have loads of info
Given.it's in Yosemite.National.Patk and.not a.paved trail, I'm pretty sure no.bikes. And.National.parks usually don't allow pets on.trails
