Amazingly beautiful and so close to Salt Lake. Climbing above the falls can get dangerous depending on how far you go. Know your skill That said, it is a great spot for rappelling next to the waterfalls. It is part of the watershed so you should avoid rappelling directly down the falls themselves.

Great short hike to a beautiful waterfall. Even in August the falls were running, although lighter than in the spring. Good hike for toddlers, though there are a lot of rocks and roots in the trail. It's a good place for them to practice with a great rest/lunch spot at the end. I would say watch out for flash flood warnings if it's raining though, I could see it being a major flood area. Other than that it's a favorite of ours on repeat

Pretty steep but short hike with waterfall at top.

No, these are watershed areas and dogs are not allowed in either Little or Big Cottonwood canyons.
I would say no, too small an area, small trail, end of trail large boulders
