This place was awesome. They weren't even open and still invited me in because I was only there for one day. Their tour was amazing and their collection wonderful. The guy even took me into the behind the scenes area. I loved it and learned so much. Definitly visit the museum when in the area.

This is a really unique and interesting museum. They have several historical engines, and give a good idea of how things were like to fight fires when the building was a working fire station. The firefighters who were there to guide us did a great job explaining things and making them informative, yet on a level that even my nephew could grasp (he's on the autism spectrum) there is an exhibit about what really happens when a building is on fire. It was very impactful, but might be a little scary for younger children. They also teach about potentially dangerous areas in the kitchen. We found it worth the admission price and learned a lot.
