I entered this store to get a few things for Dinner. A tomato and some seasoning and crackers. As I’m checking out the seasonings a lady asked if I was looking for something, I said yes creole, she said we don’t have any and by the way we’re closing. I headed out to get the other items and as I came around the corner the checker said we’re closed, I looked at him and he said again we’re closed. I replied. Can I buy what I have in my hands? He replied put them on the counter, so I did and checked out, without the tomato that I went in for to begin with. When I got to my car it was 6:02 and they close at 6:00. But apparently if you make it to the store on time you may not do your shopping.

Small space, but lots of products. Butcher counter is great!

I love this little market. They have everything you might need, even things you wouldn’t expect. The meat department is top notch.

Their website states that they follow orders from the governor during the pandemic and that most of their staff are vaccinated. Right now there is a mask mandate for Plumas County and the entire State of California due to the omicron surge. We figured it would be a safe place to swing in and grab a few things. We walked in and all the employees, in addition to the customers they were socializing with, were not wearing masks; we walked right back out. Please mask up to protect our communities and those who can’t get vaccinated yet, like our infant.

No. There is no overnight camping at the mill pond. I would call Johnsville State Park. That is the closest camping.
