This campground is in a beautiful location and it was very quite. However, it's incredibly expensive for a grass lot with no privacy or shade, and simple porta potty toilets. For us, it wasn't worth the price. But if you're not money conscious and don't mind porta potties, this place is nice.

We have been coming here for 30 years and it is always a great time. Everyone is so friendly and the camping is great! We are now bringing our grandbabies to enjoy! They love it. There have been many changes through the years and I have to say they are for the better. Even though the camping spots are not exactly where we used to camp (right next to the dunes) there are some available. I appreciate them preserving the area. Not waking up to cows and cow pies in your campsite is a plus as well! π€£

The road in is not good, prepare to be dodging potholes & tree limbs. We liked the park because of the area & cool weather. We didnβt like that the people fly down the road!!! Speed limit is 5 mph not 50. Lots of dust from the road so I β¦

Lots of cool characters around this place. Good place to launch the boat if you have a 4x4. Anyone around can tell you how the recent fishing is. Friendly staff. The place has changed quite a bit over the years but still an awesome place to camp too

Tents can go on any site, the seawall sites 701-762 have gravel and most prefer to not use tents. We recommend tents in any site from 101-316.
Yes you can. Just make sure you get a spot that is big enough. We have 36 foot motorhome and we always get a 2 vehiicle spot for the room. There are not any spots with hook ups.
No But u can bring golf cart
Check in 1pm
No we currently have no electrical hookups.
Only water hook up by the front of the store. They are hard to get. Beautiful spots watching the water come in to the bay. They do have a dump station.
There is potable water available throughout the campground, and designated area for boat rinsing.
Leave plastic pellets all over the dunes? You have to ask? I'd say NO
Week at least...2 then switch spots
We have went in the middle of the night in years past and went back to the gate to pay when they open. You will pay though, because they have a lot of people looking for the day passes on the dash. If you don't have one they will stop you.
Hi Brenda, if you have booked a 1 vehicle site we donβt have the ability to add additional vehicles. You can contact our office to see if you can move your campsite to a two vehicle site.
Yes you can have two vehicles and a boat and no extra charges for another site.. as a boat is towed in by one of those vehicles
Not sure about showers but you're right there on the ocean so you can definitely go take a dip in the ocean and clean yourself off
They have very clear signage saying do not eat the clams but I did not see anythjng saying you cant go claming. Not sure why you'd want to if you cant eat them.
WiFi is available in the pier area camp sites from a local provider for $10 a day.
Hi Glen, I camp and fish at Lawson's all the time.... You should have an email confirmation from Lawson's Landing confirming your reservations and listing the numbers of the campsites you selected. Hope that helps, if not you can call the boat house and someone should be able to help.
No, not in the camp grounds itself
Not that I'm aware of
Very limited, 4g comes and goes.
Thats where I tent camped. It was pretty crowded with a trailer
We have free wifi near our camp store.
We donβt rent cabins we are a campground
Before the gate free opposite side of the gate you have to pay. There is a public beach half a mile before the gate its nice but can get crowded.
Please check their website at www.lawsonslanding.com. There are also other campsites in the area not affiliated with this plac. I haven't tried them.
No
We were there last weekend and it was open..$20.0 to park on weekends!
Sorry no
Yes
ITS DRY CAMPING / BATHROOMS NO SHOWERS / BUT STILL LOTS OF FUN...
It appeared to be closed for good, but I'd ask the office about it for further information.
They have adorable tiny homes available by the store. Rent them online at their site for Dillon's beach resort.
Sure. No problem. I could see many tents with trailers
Any time the tide is .5 feet or lower http://www.lawsonslanding.com/tide-calendar.html http://www.lawsonslanding.com/clamming.html
Reservations are recommended online for lowest rates, ability to review sites available for your dates on a map, and also available 24hrs a day.
If I understand the new rules correctly you cannot. I wanna say 2 week's is the new limit the coastal commission mandated.
No, privately owned and operated. Amazing place though. Go during the week and try to get a spot on the wall. 700s
I believe there is boat/trailer parking at the marina, which is close to tent sites
No. Unless maybe around campground to get back n forth There are only certain spots you can even walk on the dunes
Just the roads through the camp. The sand on the dunes is too soft for biking, and large areas are roped off
Yes, you can reserve the North part of the beach. And they will block it off for you and take out the elderly family members on the quads. We got married there 8-8-08. My husband's 92 year young Aunt Magi had fun riding on the quad as she was riding out to marry us. It was a great and very memorable day. I hope you have as much fun as we did. We had reserved 3 of the cabins closest to the beach for the older family members and for the wedding party to get dressed, but all the younger family all camped out in tents and trailers at the wonderful campground. They had a blast an entire week.
Yes you can and have fun. My family has been swimming fishing and clamming and camping at Lawson's Landing around 40 years
You can look it up on the internet. Lawson's Landing. It shows camping spaces and price. If your going to Ride you Motorcycle. I suggest a bike cover. For the evening thru morning.
I think you should be good in the bay. It will be beautiful!
No. There are no hook ups of any kind.
The owner is right. It's to your advantage to call and check. That way it's not a waisted trip.
They might allow it only along the main road. Definitely not on the beach or dunes. Im guessing with all the rules and insurance issues no ATVs period.
Quiet time is 9pm, we do a drive through every evening and stop at loud generators or music. We do try to find a balance of letting our guests enjoy themselves. We also advertise at check in that call our business number if a loud neighbor needs our attention.
Not a lot of privacy in these campsites Lot of open-air sites. Really depends on when you're going weekend or week. Beautiful area good fishing if you're interested on the outskirts of Lawson's Landing especially if you have a boat good crabbing and if you so desire to barbecue some oysters they're close.
Yes they have elevated fire pits an ones you can put right on the ground!!!!fun place..
Dogs are required to be on a leash at all times.
Yup, I found a tide chart. Just to clarify, my question is about the different levels of low tide. Is it OK to clam at ALL low tides?
It can get very windy with very little to no windbreaks
Yes you can get a crab pod and fish for crabs or fish for smelt . I'm sure you can fish for other stuff but that's the main stuff out there off the pier.
Your camping reservation is the fee. If you booked a 2 vehicle site, we allow you to bring 2 vehicles into the campground and up to 10 people. Any additional people or vehicles requires additional campsites.
Not in the campsite, but at our store in the campground we always let our guests charge their phones.
There is a gate and kiosk. If you arrive after hours, check in in the morning. Reservations are recommended.
12 pm is checkout, but if you check with us the morning of departure if there is no arrival to your spot enjoy the day. If someone is arriving to your spot you can still enjoy the day at the resort but park your vehicles in the day use area.
Red perch on squid send it way out past the surf.
Hi Jason we havenβt had boat mooring in over 15 years, with a 24 ft boat recommend launching it each day you plan on using it.
No fireworks at camp you can go into town and watch fireworks (I have heard never experienced) reservations plenty ahead of time for holidays or you won't have a site
The number of cars is dependent on the specific site. We have the option of 1 or 2 vehicle sites, be sure to use our reservation system to review the site you choose as any extra cars would need to book additional sites.
Definitely no leaving the boat on the sand rent a slip
We like the seawall towards the end. 730 or so.
The ones that are closest to the dock especially if you have kids you want them to do a little crabbing and maybe catch a fish or two
Judy there are no full hook ups your camper or RV needs to be fully equiped...
Sometimes it's windy and sometimes it isn't but sometimes it's cold too but if you can just handle the cold you could do anything to
