Beautiful lake with great sunsets and stargazing at night. We stayed at the south campground, and the campground hosts take excellent care of the bathrooms and showers. They have plenty of grilling/picnic spots, a doggie beach, and a normal beach swimming area.

Very nice day for a stroll. This park has camping clean amenities and a store. This park is always nice for a simple walk around by the beach and overflow damn. Always peaceful to hear the water flowing. Also. You can bring your stand up paddle boards here and cruise the lake. Very fun in summer.

Great campground! Stayed in one of their yurts. Clean and spacious! Only thing is, there is no air conditioner in them. It was very hot. Bathrooms super close and clean. So much to do there. Had a great time!

One of the most beautiful campgrounds I've ever been to. It'd been years since I last went and I still found it familiar and easy to get around. Large campsites and plenty of shade.

They only have 1 cabin and 2 yurts. My kids and I rented a yurt last year and it was nice
100% FREE!!
Yes there is and they are larger than normal
Yes there are two shelter houses, both can be rented. Each are located on each side of the lake. The most popular is the beach shelter house.
Yes you can, check the DNR website for a fishing map.
Pretty cheap like$30. You have to reserve make sure there's a spot. Most places are full on the weekends.
Noted tent campers whom arrived in Van. Dont think its a problem
Yes you can. There where a few there when I stayed here.
Yes and their is a website you can go to that has it.
According to this list from the ODNR regarding winter camping, Harrison lake is accepting reservations right now. Happy camping! Source; https://ohiodnr.gov/wps/portal/gov/odnr/discover-and-learn/safety-conservation/about-odnr/division-parks-watercraft/stay-overnight/winter-camping-osp
The park is free to enter, however there's a fee to camp. http://www.campingroadtrip.com/campgrounds/campground/campground/10213/ohio/harrison-lake-state-park
I believe they have one cabin and two large yurts
Not everything at Harrison State Park is closed. This summer (2020) no rentals for boats but the camping and yurts are rental able. I believe the yurts are $55 a night on weekends have to use online or phone reservations.
$27 for electric. Plus $6.50 reservation fee. $24 for non-electric.
Yes
Yes but You need to go under reservations put in a date and how many night and then it'll bring up and show you that it could be full or not but if you click on the camping scoll to the bottom it will show you a map
You have to reserve on Ohio dnr website. If u go through and find the site u want and proceed to checkout, it will give you the price. If u are interested in a specific spot, u have to find a date where the site is available and then proceed to checkout.
North campground seemed to have bigger lots with more space between them than South Campground. Neither campground offers much privacy between sites though.
Yes
Yes but it's done on the honor system. So the office wasn't open when we went last week.
Just electric
Checkout is 1 p.m.
Mainly nightcrawlers, but wax worms work as well.
There are grills throughout several close to beach beach is on other side of lake from non_electric not to terrible long
Yes they do
I camped here this past week & every site had a fire pit ring. Bathrooms are open too just no hot water/showers.
Walk in after hours ... You come to the campground find the walk in area camping sites choose one then put your money in an envelope and drop it in the slot. We reserved online... Super easy and it gives you all the available sites. You will have a wonderful time!
I think 1 cabin and then some yurt tents. http://parks.ohiodnr.gov/harrisonlake#reserve
Not sure about water give the DNR a call they have a ranger on site.
Sure do they even have a Beach 🌴 for the dogs.. They are working on it but you can still get in there... And when your at the Dog Beach. Are allowed to let your Dog 🐕 off the leash but you are responsible for your pet they have free poop bags also... Your dog will have a fun day.. Remember your dog can only be off the leash in the Dog beach area. Have a fun time😃
Make reservation on line and drive up to the check in window and tell them you have a reservation.
It's a state park ,you can call there
We were just checking recently to reserve a campsite to stay in July. Approximately $27/night. Just check their website.
Yes i think they have 3 or 4 maybe 20 by 20ft octagon looking huts but im not sure on the price here is their website on the pricing have fun pricehttp://parks.ohiodnr.gov/rates
Nice park and they charge a reasonable fee to camp there. Electric hookup only.
I dont believe they do. The only golf carts I see there are the workers!
The lake has catfish, bass, blue gills, Rock bass, and a really good population of black and white crappie.
According to the website the lake is 95 acres.
I don't believe so. There are electric spots in the south camp but I do not recall there being water! They do have 4 showers, flush toilets, latrines, and drinking water in the south camp however!
Swimming fishing hikeing boating with ur own boat is all free.
The website you can reserve them just like the campsites, it's Ohio State parks, and it will give you a list of parks just choose the one you want then it should take you to their site and it should say campsites or shelters.
In the past years you was aloud to to stay 2 weeks (14 days) out of a 30 day period.
I biked on it but I would not consider it a "mountain bike trail" more like a dirt path you can ride any bike on. Its all flat and has really no features. I think it was designed to be walked
