I wish they would post pictures of all the pets they have found. I don't have the gas to keep running there every day to see if they have my cat and plus answer the phone maybe people could gather some of the animals they have there.

They found and cared for my lost dog. Updated his shots. Thank you

The facts: -- Asheville Animal Services is holding my 22-week puppy on a $300 bond. I was told today, by way of Asheville Humane Society, that if I did not pay a $300 bond (which sounds more like a ransom) by Sunday, May 29, 2022, at 5:00 PM, my puppy will be added into the foster care system with the Asheville Humane Society. The $300 bond can be refunded if they can come to my family’s home (where my pup was temporarily housed) to determine if the area in which he stayed (temporarily) was sufficient to return. -- I am not a resident of Asheville, North Carolina – my pup will not be returning to anywhere in Asheville, NC or buncombe county -- My pup was surrendered by a person who is not the owner, by definition of Asheville Animal Services and Asheville Humane Society, an owner is anyone who is in possession of a dog and has fed, watered, and hosted the dog for more than 30 days. Proof of ownership was not requested (vet records, pictures, documentation, etc.) -- I have been in contact with both teams and explained the error/false information. I have requested their company’s policy/operational procedure for issues such as this. I was told by the Asheville Humane Society that they do not have a written policy for errors/misinformation when surrendering a dog. They were under the impression that the person who surrendered the dog was the owner. -- It is clearly stated on their website that a person would need to bring vet records for their pet, driver’s license, proof of buncombe county residency, a completed owner surrender questionnaire, and a $25 surrender fee. No vet information was provided when my pup was surrendered without my permission. I will reiterate that I am not a resident of Asheville, NC, Buncombe County, or Western North Carolina. -- My pup had a non-life-threatening, but serious leg injury in which the flesh could be seen on one leg in multiple (4) areas. My pup had previously been to a vet (the same day as the injury). My pup was provided aid directly related to sterilizing, cleaning, and maintaining the open wound. I was also in the process of finding a better qualified and transparent vet to address this issue on an ongoing basis. -- In addition, it was communicated with me today, May 25, 2022, that because my pup was seen by a vet before understanding who the real owner is while in the Asheville Humane Society’s care, that I must pay approximately $1700 upfront for my pup to be returned to me or it will be offered up for adoption and be neutered. There were no alternative payment options given. -- Because the pup was “surrendered,” he will not be returned to me in its original state (un-neutered) -- I have been told that I cannot see my pup while physically being at Asheville Humane Society location. -- Not one manager or animal control officer has acknowledged a wrongdoing has been done. However, it seems as though everyone is making policies on the go ($300 bond by Sunday at 5:00 PM). I cannot see my pup as the legal owner. I am required to pay $1700 upfront to have my pup returned to me. Not only has this impacted me, but my son who lost his best friend, and the co-owner. All we want is our pup back and have the opportunity to watch him grow with us, as part of our family. It was my intention to handle this matter in-house without writing a review or taking to social media through conversations with upper management. However, this unfortunate situation has escalated far beyond what a conversation can fix. Contacts: Sue McMullan (Asheville Animal Control) Lilly I believe was the name (Asheville Humane Society - Manager ) – but I will update upon confirmation

You can post the animal in the News paper or Iwanna paper which is very quickly done or you can contact the animal shelter that would and should be gladly able to take the cat for you. I wish I could have the cat here where I'm at..
$350 fee is for puppies. The fee for most adult dogs 35 to $75. But the adoption fees don't really begin to cover the cost caring for all the dogs.
You need to call them or the SPCA to ask.
They have a web site with lost/found animals. Humane society next door has an online list of adoptable animals.
Not during office hours.
Natalie Mize Yes thank you. That is exactly what the man told me.
They may be able to help with short term placement/care in a kennel within the shelter depending upon capacity (which right now they're at/near max capacity), but probably not foster placement. You might be able to find a longer term foster placement with Brother Wolf Animal Rescue.
Come on by and see it it's here, we will happily walk you through the cat kennel areas.
The Humane alliance would be the ones to contact about having a cat spayed
