Literally corrupt. Was parked at a public landing by the river and in the blink of an eye a sheriff is in my face telling me to stay out of colleton County unless I have a lawful reason to be there.....I can't go swimming?.......These people clearly have issues getting it up.

May 7th 2020, the law enforcement officers of Colleton Cty raided a home at 2236 Southern Charm Rd in Ruffin SC . My son was there asleep after working all night at the CookOut. He never heard their knocking (extremely hard sleeper) and after some time they decided to kick in the back door to gain entrance, at which time my son finally awakened and rushed to the door with a weapon thinking someone was breaking in on him. There was a brief standoff before he realized they were officers with guns pointed at him. Thank GOD these WELL TRAINED OFFICERS DID NOT SHOOT David Stevens and say it was self defense later after I would have buried a dead child, my youngest at 26 years of age. They withheld their fire and he dropped the weapon and they carried out the search . I found him at the Colleton Complex SAFE AND SOUND with nary a bruise even and he was released. Officer VANADU was very nice as we left and he encouraged my son to continue to keep a clean record and buy a weapon legally if needed. I owe them gratitude for not being overzealous that day. David’s dad had died in December 2019 leaving him alone and GOD Bless all those officers who were there on MAY 7, 2020.
