They would not give me antibiotics even though my laceration was caused by a broken septic pipe...."watch for signs of infection".....didnt have to watch long....it's the next day and I'm sitting in the ER with a swollen, painful calf.

I was dealing with odd lower stomach pain which was very rhythmic: peaking every 30 seconds or so and then letting go. It was lasting for two weeks and I could not sleep so I finally went to urgent care. Because I was a woman, it was immediately assumed it was due to female stuff so internal ultrasound was offered. I found staff being extremely caring about patients. I felt that they checked all they could assuming it had something to do with my female organs. They did full stomach ultrasound and internal ultrasound but could not find anything and let me go home. Soon after, I was on my knees vomiting from pain. I was taken to ER in Milton by my husband. As I arrived, the ER doctor knew immediately I had a kidney stone issue. Before any tests! He said the rhythmic pain I was describing is a standard symptom of a kidney stone. Why the urgent care Compass doctors did not know that, is beyond me. You can’t really see a kidney stone well with ultrasound. My trip to ER could have been prevented if Compass urgent care doctors were train better on one of the most common urgent care issue. Please get doctors trained on how to recognize symptoms of a kidney stone so others don’t have to go through what I went through. There is from the web about kidney stones. Why urgent care doctors could not recognize this symptom is beyond me: “Pain often comes and goes in waves, which is made worse by the ureter contracting as it tries to push the stone out. Each wave may last for a few minutes, disappear, and then come back again.”

I had Dr Maria Cabett. She was attentive, actively listening to me as I spoke and very sympathetic. She took the time to really brainstorm and ask lots of questions in order to resolve my problem. She is smart af. The staff and nurse were really nice as well.

They don't care to handle patient requests - they seem to only rush you off the phone and care to end their shift instead of helping the patient. I'm definitely changing providers. Don't recommend.

I believe that the Nutritionist for Compass Medical is located at the E. Bridgewater facility. That is where I went. She was fantastic. Answered all my questions. I think your PC has to refer you.
Call to make an appt.
The urgent care is open limited hours on Sunday.
