Steak 'n Shake

Not as good as it used to be. The hamburgers are made more greasy now I hate it.

They had a fire. I live across the street and had been there the night before and of. It took forever. I asked why all the smoke? Told them stop and clean the trap. But being too lazy to clean the grease trap and work together, and most importantly knowing how to clean it; which seems none of the steak n shakes around know how to do, as three of them in South Florida have had fires. Funny thing is smoke was pouring out the kitchen so they just opened the back door and upon asking, their normal excuse of no show teens was it. Instead of, we are to lazy to clean and be bothered to stop talking on our cells. Every steak n shake n this area never answers their biz phone but you can sure watch them standing around talking on their cells or hidiing in the nasty restrooms or outside smoking & talking on them. But hey give them that raise all of these lazy, wasteful people want while costing the corporates money!

I have heard this location will reopen later this year.

When theyre done fixing it.

According to their Facebook they do not have a definitive date for reopening. It only states that they are doing repairs due to a fire.

Yes it's daytime now & I already looked into the matter. Actually soon as I posted it, I started investigating. PS it wasn't an electrical fire; it was a grease fire. IF.you don't know the answer, you should not post false truths. They had already been turning out half pink hamburgers. I honestly don't know how u do that when they r smashed flat; other than trying to follow the rules & get people in & out the drive thru n the 2 minutes allotted & it wasn't happening. So he just scooped & put them out. Same as the half full shakes. Actually spoke w/the mngr Saturday, after Thursday & Fridays ordeal and he just made excuses & did the same thing. Half raw hamburgers or partially pink is against Federal law unless u sign a waiver stating... if u get poisoned u won't sue, as u asked for it. This place should've been shut down by so many health code violations that just by going inside to speak to the manager I noticed! I will go inside all places including the restroom before eating
