!!! See phase two in my review with the US consulate in Calgary - Canada. PHASE 1. I want to share with you the trauma I went through at the entrance to Sweet Grass. Because both the American embassy in London and the one in Bucharest did not give me a tourist visa to visit my wife, who is an American citizen, we had to meet in Calgary, Canada, where I did not need a visa. I arrived in Calgary and my wife stopped at a hotel in Montana due to health problems. Worried, I rented a car and drove off. At Sweet Grass customs, I explained who I am, why I want to enter the US, I asked for a humanitarian parole, they also talked to my wife on the phone, I explained that I called them before, to ask them if I could ask for a parole when entering the USA, I also had an email from them telling me that it was possible, and yet, they kept me in customs for 8 hours, they tried to make me sign an untrue statement, they fingerprinted me, they took my DNA, and after that, they sent me back to Canada. Once back in Calgary, I sent a complaint to their superiors who told me they would investigate. I remember one of the officers there waving at me to leave the building sooner and then I approached him and told him that I worked for the US government in Iraq and that I was one of the the boys who had protected them, there in Iraq, not to be abducted and beheaded by terrorists. They laughed at me and told me to leave the building because they had other situations to solve. They had all gathered there, plus two plainclothes officers, probably ICE, whispered to each other, without explaining to me why they would not let me enter the United States so that I could give them an explanation. I was shocked by their lack of professionalism and their lack of understanding of the purpose of the humanitarian parole... To be continued...

The US border patrolmen are awful. They’re condescending, moody, and have a need to “flex their muscles” for no reason at all. It’s unfortunate that they make the return home so abrasive and unwelcome. The process was otherwise quick and efficient.

#1waiting in the building to ask a question, about returning Canadian paper.,US side. I patiently waited while a officer was telling fellow officers a non-related to work story. The fellow officers asked him to help me. #2Follow the Canadian sign So, I got outside , absolutely no place for a pedestrian to be. Did not tell me any pertinent information, this is not safe. Rude, unprofessional after I came back upstairs and asked again. These people are to be helping the public. I work in healthcare in surgery. To serve the people is a honor, If you dislike the public...Work somewhere else. #4 I am very sure there can be processes put in place to make it beneficial for all, including safety, watch your video cams on the Canadian side, I saw pedestrian waiting in line with vehicles. #3 Work on your communication skills and work on your directions. Maybe print the process out. #5 Where are your people skills??

Stopped here coming back to the States from Edmonton Alberta. With sunny delight loads out of California and coming back with beef meat loads from Canada

Usually a good idea to have it with just so they know it's not stolen
I'm sorry Rosemary I don't know the answer to that I'm a commercial driver. I do see people go across the border . You can check with the US border protection agency 14063359610
Am not sure if they will allow you. The border is currently open for essential services only. I cross every week and hardly see small cars in line up
You have to call border that your crossing at prior to going and ask but I'm sure they would be ok with it if you let both sides know what your doing they may have to search the whole vehicle before its allowed to be released but I'd make sure they inform both sides
You should be ok , I know what we need to get into Canada from the US as a Canadian citizen
Depends on how many Canadians are fleeing their oppressive weather for Montana's equally oppressive weather...
I am a Canadian citizen and would like to cross the border in my motor home or about 13th June of this year to collect my wife who is currently in Yuma Arizona. will I be permitted to cross into Montana.
24 hours a day 7 days a Week
On the right by the fence before Canada customs. You need the us paperwork and paperwork to show you don't have any leans and the like on the car
Best bet would be to call the border crossing itself, it's a simple google search
9 times out of 10, customs wont know the difference (their computers dont give them all of the information of the vehicle). All that said, get your brother to write you a little note, just in case. You could run into trouble if you get pulled over at any point, or if everything doesn't go perfrctly smoothly, through customs.
What is your citizenship? If you are a US citizen with a valid US passport you are gold. If you are a Canadian citizen with a valid Canadian passport, you should probably bring with you proof that you own/maintain a residence on Canada (mortgage, lease, utility bills, etc) and proof that you can support yourself while you are in the US (bank account balances, credit card statements, etc). You may not be asked to present that information, but it's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Contact sweetgrass border direct and they will keep you right. They are very strict on meets and vegetables and fruit. We cross all the time and they are ok with the odd cucumber banana but they do check
Depending on your criminality, most likely, if you needed a waiver then, you will need one now.
40 imperial ounces of hard liquor
Leave fruits at home. Most are allowed but have to have the proper markings from the growers
Call to the customs office they have them there. You may need a broker
