Had one of the best experience crossing border here. I had entered US 25+ times including land borders and on airports and this experience was one of the best, nice and fast. Not much questions asked did their work and we are out in 5-10 min. It was little crowded that time of the day so have wait around 40+ minutes in car as they have only 1 lane for cars.

Officer Scott loves his job. Please be nice to him. He has a sensitivity to eyewear and cellular technology, but if you show him the respect he deserves he'll reward you in full.

First words out of the Border agent were "What's going on here?" as we pulled up in our conversion van (very rude and disrespectful tone). My wife was driving and responded we are on vacation and crossing the border back to the US. He laughed and told us to pull up to a lane for full search. We asked why and he rudley told us to pull forward. I was surprised since we travel to Canada often and had recently completed our Global Entry interview ($100 for 5 years) on our way in to Canada on this trip (we don't have global entry cards yet as we are out of town). The parking agent collected the keys to our vehicle and handed me a little fob that she said was our case number (that is how easy it is to have a case against you, wow). So I asked why I had been selected since I witnessed at least 7 cars that weren't screened. She told me to head into an office and show them the fob but would not give me any information as to what was going on. So on we went....as if we did something wrong. The agent who searched our car was was respectful and could tell we were upset; however, he did make it a case that we were acting suspicious (yeah I don't want you invading my space). We explained what happened with the first agent and proceeded to get a log winded explanation about a lottery we won that caused us to get searched. Then he proceeded to bring a dog into our van, which meant we have dog hair and gravel in our van, including our bed. So since I didn't break the rules shouldn't I get compensated for lost time, cleaning my van, and unnecessary invasion of privacy? Customs and TSA agents really ruin the traveling experience. Even when you pay extra and jump through their hoops.

Hit or miss. Some days there is an hour or more wait. Some days you pull right up. It appears if you have a trailer or camper you get right to the front of the line.
