Do not have your events here. The staff on the event coordinating are rude, don’t get back to you and all over the place. Communication was horrible. They’ll take a whole week to get back to you even on short timing. They gave me different prices at times, the first time I inquired over the phone food was included other times it wasn’t. I was working with Gracie at the time. Toured the venue with her, my daughter, and sister and she told us it was included then as well. After that she and I are coordinating over a few weeks and she kept giving me different prices with the food not being included now. She just blatantly kept denying that she told us that on numerous occasions. I even had one of my good friends (who is white and I am black) call for prices and they gave him different prices than me because food was included for him. I finally had to speak to the regional manager there I don’t remember her name. She was extremely rude until I just took my business elsewhere

Beautiful, forgiving course with great amenities and helpful, happy staff. Will 100% be returning for another round of golf.

TL;DR: Take your business elsewhere for events. Event planning staff is not helpful and unprofessional. Food subpar. Would have given just one star but the day-of bar and waitstaff were great. My sister and I recently hosted an event through the Springfield Country Club. We were working with three different planners/coordinators at the venue which made communication difficult, as we weren’t sure who we should be contacting throughout the planning process. Initially, we were working primarily with Mary and then were put into contact with Emma and Gracie. Their team provided absolutely no guidance or information on the venue. Any details pertaining to the types of tables, chairs, day of coordination, dimensions for decorations, etc. were not given to us unless we asked. I am not from the area and can’t exactly drop by to visit whenever. Any other professional venue would hand out a brochure of all of this basic information for their clients. When we started to ask all of these questions, we were told we were asking too many questions and to stop calling. We were told that our questions were not necessary and were assured that the venue and food would be great. It wasn’t. Eventually we were able to go visit the venue for a walkthrough with Emma. The venue hall looked less than ideal and the walls looked as if they hadn’t been painted in years with scuff marks on them. For a venue that hosts weddings, golf tournaments, and every function in between, you would expect that a base level of maintenance would be provided. When we addressed this with the event coordinator and the owner, Mr. Pellegrino, our concerns were met with disdain and half-hearted responses along with no guarantee that the venue would be painted prior to the date of our shower. Luckily they did paint before our event and the space looked nice the day of. The fact that we even had to say something speaks volumes about how little the management cares about the appearance of the venue even when you’re spending money to host an event there. After weeks of calling and receiving no communication back from their team, we finally were able to get in touch with their team about final details and were once again assured everything would be great. Had we not already sent out invitations for our event, we would have taken our business elsewhere at this point. On the day of, our set-up and waitstaff (excluding the three planners already mentioned) were helpful and kind. One server in particular, Nikki, was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Their team is lucky to have her and we’re very thankful for her professionalism and kindness. The food was mediocre at best, though. After being told that the food would be great this was a disappointment. The caesar salad was heavy on the anchovy (not really a crowd pleaser for a salad that typically is a good go-to) and the chicken francaise was served dry and cold. Gross and disappointing. The best part of the food was the dessert (tiramisu) but at that point it was too late to make up for two courses of unappetizing food. Overall, take your money elsewhere. Any venue that doesn’t provide detailed information up front and has a snotty event planning team is not worth your time or your money. There are plenty of other nice venues in the area and I wish we went with a different one. Our day went well only because of the wait and bar staff there - our day of coordinators on the planning team were unfriendly and overall unhelpful.
