This airport is clean and beautifully located overlooking the Pacific ocean there is a a nice new hotel just across the street the airport offers flights to and from several destinations including Los Angeles San Francisco Medford Redding crescent City salt Lake City in Sacramento there are multiple rental car agencies available as well as shuttle vans taking passengers to other local hotel the downside to this airport is the lack of a restaurant or bar the only form of food while waiting for your flight is vending machines another issue is the significant amount of weather delays due to the fog since this airport is literally located feet away from the ocean the biggest reason people would probably choose not to fly here is the cost a flight in or out of this airport will cost more than all the other flights in your trip combined ticket prices to this destination are outrageous many locals end up flying into Medford Sacramento or San Francisco and simply drive the rest of the way into Humboldt County. It saves you literally hundreds of dollars doing it this way if you are a family flying it will save you thousands of dollars easily it blows me away how a flight from even the nearest airports like Sacramento or San Francisco which are flights that last less than 1 hour typically around 50 minute flights can cost anywhere between $200 to $400 or higher I've seen I don't know how companies can morally do this to people. I suppose they do it because they can everyday those planes fly in full of passengers who all paid a pretty penny to land here. All in all the place isn't that bad there is definitely room for improvement reopening a restaurant would be a huge step finding a way to lower the ticket price would be a blessing for many local residents and providing flights to New destinations would be a plus. I must say this airport has one of my favorite takeoffs of all the airports I've ever been you take off and fly right over a bluff and you overlook the ocean as the plane gains altitude.

Everyone is usually very nice. Today we had a small issue at the United counter. We arrived about 70 minutes before our flight. We had checked in at the kiosk and had one bag to check. The label/tag was printed behind the counter. We waited in line behind four other travelers, with one agent at the counter. One woman was checking in at the counter for 15 minutes. Then the next traveler took approximately 10 minutes. When she finally got to me almost 30 minutes had passed. The agent then reprimanded me for not checking my bag in 45 minutes before my flight. I told her that I had checked in more than an hour before, but had to wait to give her my bag. She said, "Ok, I'll let it go this time, but make sure to get here 45 minutes early next time." Geez, it's not like it's a huge airport. There wasn't even another plane out there. Not to mention, I was there early.

Sad the cafe was closed since every time I go to airport I eat there. Not too many people. Brother was able to check in for his flight In a couple minutes. Free parking in short term parking went well. Overall pleasant experience for an airport.

Great airport with multiple airlines, variety of amenities and great artwork to see, and information about cool area sights to see, including trails and parks. Great coffee shop when open. Checkout the observation area upstairs, very cool! Even a free library !

I think there is only hertz right now that I've seen. No car rentals on the weekend for now. Not sure when that will change.
Yes, the plane is wheelchair accessible with a ramp.
4am-12am
Sarah is correct. I recommend looking at the airline website regarding dimensions and restrictions since there are so many. Enjoy your trip.
No. We didn't have to provide any covid info when we flew last week.
I can't answer this question, but you can check with United airlines who flys out of this airport about their service stops
Unfortunately I don't think it is yet.
They will green tag your large bag and you'll get it back when you get off the plane
Literally no different than the other parking. 5 minutes is sufficient.
At this time UNITED skywest is the only airline. Andrew is right on. Door to Door Airporter Shuttle Service.........
Flight crews are being redirected to another airport and aren't doing stayovers in the Arcata airport.
United is the only airline that flies into acv. Direct flights to sfo, den and lax.
That makes no sense. There is no hospital at the airport.
No, through LAX or SFO only
Airports operate under federal law. Best bet is to leave it at home and just wait for it to be legal nationwide.
Call the airline
Hertz, Dollar, Alamo. We used Hertz and were very satisfied
Not too far. It's the closest public airport. Maybe 20 minutes?
This is not an international airport. There is no customs dept
Go-to United airlines/skywest flight Check, check Flight# or by City. You can find weather and flight status and cancelled flights.
Yes. Before TSA, they have coffee, espressso and snacks at Ramones. Past TSA, there are bathrooms and three vending machines that take credit cards. One is a coffee machine, one for cold drinks, and one for snacks.
Humboldt state University is about 7 miles from the airport
ACV has Hertz, Dollar, and Alamo
United Express flies direct to LAX, as well as to SFO.
The doors open at about 4am every day.
Hertz, National, Alamo are the three with service at the airport presently.
45 minutes to an hour is plenty of time. With only two terminals the airport is very small and security is always a breeze. I've flown out of ACV many times and it's never taken more than 20 minutes from the counter to my gate, even when checking luggage.
Redwood Transit has a bus stop in the loading zone by the Flagpole. Should be about $3 or $4 to board
About two miles
There is one TSA line. They want iPads out on the bins separate from luggage
