Just left after a really sketchy run in. I’ve stayed here like 10 times this year while passing through the area for work, it’s affordable and the camping spots are private, but after tonight, I will never go back, and only recommend you do if you need the cheap spot with the shower, but not to chill with you family or something. All through the year when I would arrive after dark, I would go to camp and pay in the morning per policy, tonight I did the same, he came over with a flash light, announcing himself untill he was in my face, telling me to go, very violent and aggressive body language, not that he’s so scary for me cause he is frail, but for someone he is. I doubt you read this old man but I bet your grandkids occasionally do and your just scary off business that place could obviously use.

I definitely got the: your kind is not welcome here vibe right from first pulling in to inquire about availability. I was advised on a weekday afternoon by the manager that they did not welcome people pulling trailers or folks that are coming and going when I explained that I would be emptying storage right down the street and putting in my cargo trailer so that my RV would be pulling trailer and I would be coming and going daily. I advised her that I didn't even need connections because my rig is completely self sufficient. She said there would be nothing for me since the tent area was closed. I told her I would gladly pay for the space of a connection site and I can plug in if that makes them happier. She then said she didn't want to charge me for what I don't need. She also stated I would be too long at 35' with trailer. She ultimately said that she will talk with the owners and to check back tomorrow. The next day I called and a gentleman picked up and I explained I spoke with the manager yesterday. He immediately said that they can't help me and provided no reasoning why. I asked if he knew anywhere that might be able to and he quickly said no. Fair enough, never in a million years would I beg to patronize people who treat people so poorly, but I was really looking for something close to my storage for convenience. They obviously take to a certain kind, judging from other reviews. I certainly wasn't in any ways impressed with the cleanliness or scenery as I drove around the place. What goes around comes around. It doesn't cost anything to be nice.

We called on a Friday and booked a one night stay knowing we would not be getting in until after 9pm. We appreciated the owners staying up to wait for us to check in but that is where the appreciation ends. The next morning I approached the office to see about staying longer. Before I could even ask the question, the woman starts interrogating me. “Who are you, did you call, did you check-in, are you in the black car?? etc...” I was finally able to tell her (because she would not stop asking me questions) that we had checked in last night but wanted to extend our stay. She told me she had reservations and the only thing she could offer was a tent site. We had originally paid $30 for the RV site with hookups. I said a tent site would be fine since it still had electric and city water close by. She told me it would be $60 for the 3 nights we wanted to stay. I assumed that meant $20 per night for the tent site. This made sense to me since we were going from $30 for full hookups and WiFi to $20 for a tent site where we only had electric and the tent sites were farther out and thus did not connect to the WiFi. As I’m writing the check the husband chimes in and says “It’s $90!” And the wife says, “Oh yeah, what did I say? $60? Oh yeah it’s gonna be $90. $30 per night for the tent site.” This sounded suspicious to me but we wanted to stay and the tent site was actually quieter and prettier than the RV site so I paid. The next morning the owner pulls up to our site and sits in her car. She doesn’t get out and approach us to talk. She just rolls down her window and sits there until we come over. She is immediately rude and accusatory stating, “You guys were supposed to be out of here this morning!!” We were shocked. We checked in on Friday night which we had paid for. The next morning, Saturday, I paid for an additional 3 nights; making checkout Tuesday morning. It was Sunday afternoon and we had no idea why she was telling us to leave. I could barely explain to her my side of the situation because she was too busy talking over me and accusing us of overstaying what we paid. She kept saying “I don’t know how you get to Tuesday”. She finally said she wasn’t going to argue with us over it. Ha! I told her she should have two checks from us and my boyfriend suggested she go double check and get back to us. So she did. She drove back over and again did not get out of her car. I was inside cooking and she waited for me to come out and speak to her while she sat in the car. She did apologize and say she made a mistake. Which I appreciated but why not double check first before coming over to rudely, again, interrogate us! We were also having trouble with our awning and the husband was out walking and stopped by to seriously just stare at us. He did not offer to help or give us any tips. He literally was in our site just staring creepily while we were trying to fix the problem. Finally my boyfriend asked if he could help him with anything and he just laughed and walked off. It’s a shame that the owners are so unprofessional and rude because the site itself is pretty and we would have enjoyed our stay much more had it not been run by them. The showers are gross also. There are two shower stalls and the shower curtains are literally one shower curtain that was ripped (not cut) in half. It barely even covers the shower so people can see in if you’re showering. One of the shower drains was clogged so that you’re ankle deep in dirty shower water. There are no toilet seat covers and toilet paper was almost out the entire time. I would not stay here again simply because of the management. Which is a shame because it’s a good location, pretty area, and has potential.
