Recently stayed with my family and our dog. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, clean room, plenty of towels. They stocked our coffee and added in some apple cider and hot chocolate knowing we had children and then they even had the cutest pup basket with treats, a mat for his food/water dish and his own towel if needed..oh and poop bags in case we forgot ours!! So thoughtful! We will definitely be staying there during our visits.

Stayed for a night a month ago with my husband and our dog in a dog friendly room as its our half way point when driving to the coast, .the .room was small for the price but clean, loved the beautiful lawn leading up to the river behind the lodge which was the highlight. Last night we tried to book a room for the 3 of us again on our way home but no dog rooms were available, the front desk gal was super sweet and remembered us from last month because of our big fluffy malamute Shepard mix. She recommended us for nearby alternative lodging and I asked if it was OK for us to stop by in the morning to sit along the river and have morning coffee with our dog..She said that should be fine seeing how we were recent past guests and just tried to book a room. Well when we arrived we were approached by a very unfriendly women who said we cannot be on their property because we are not registered guests,..I told her we had asked ahead and were past guests that tried to book a room last night and she very rudely just said no and we shouldn't of been told that. Mind you it was mid morning, no cars in front of the rooms as guests must of checked out. No kindness or recommendation of where we could go, treated us like we were some vagrants or druggies looking to hang out behind their hotel along the river with our dog. We had planned to book a week this summer and take our grand kids there...NOT ANYMORE....you just lost our future business as we travel to the coast often..

Everything was an issue! Seriously just wanted to enjoy the amenities without hassle. The water in the room smells like rotten eggs! It was horrible. The shower was completely unstable, no sweet spot. Scorching hot or freezing cold. Bugs everywher, inside the room! I use to stay here and loved that place, new owners and staff that make you feel like they are doing you a favor to let you stay there. Threatened to "ask us to leave" during check-in?!?! I will not be staying there again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are hotels around that are actually friendly. If I could give 0 stars I would.
