Great open area for a medium size dog park. Very small wooded areas. Lots of friendly dogs and almost no poop on the ground. Plenty of water provided by visitors using jugs and fountain outside of park.

Awesome place to bring our spoiled rotten puppers!! He loves it anytime he can run around off his leash!! These dog trails are well taken care of with several watering stations throughout the park. We have an adorable 6 pound Chihuahua Terrier mix who thinks he's a gigantic guard dog & we've never had any problems with any of the other breeds cruising around at this park at all. To sum it up if you like to spoil your pooch like we do this is a great place to let em off their leash & sniff around!! We try to bring a gallon of fresh water with us for the watering stations when we bring him, it's a good use it as you need it but it's there because of people who bring it for the dogs, it's not a must but we try to when we can. No better park for off leash dog parks in the twin cities!!

This is a great place to bring a dog. The area is nice and wide open, and you can walk a few laps to get exercise as your dog gets social time and exercise as well. Worth the drive.

Every few years the city performs a controlled burn in this area. This clears weeds and invasive species while restoring soil nutrients and increases plant diversity.

Is there a separate area for smaller dogs?

No, it's a wide open space with a wide walking trail around the perimeter. I have two small dogs and have no issue so far. I think most owners and their dogs are pretty respectful.
