This review is not about this store. The product increased my problems exponentially. The store staff are not qualified to tell someone what will "correct" their problem or diagnose. I'm glad the product helps some people. In my case, I have permanent issues now. Everyone's issues and needs are very different. For some issues, a true and proper diagnosis is necessary to help the person. It doesn't mean the doctor one sees is the best, but if nothing else, please get a real diagnosis before choosing what treatment road you go down. Stepping on what I say resembles rice paper or similar is not any way to diagnose, nor give enough information to decide what will help the problem.

Michael Gallagher is Knowledgeable and extremely reliable. He has helped me tremendously with my foot problems! He is exceptional at diagnosing what type of shoes are good for your feet so that you have the most comfort. Would highly recommend!

Michael was very knowledgeable. Explained the types / brands of shoes they carry. I did get a pair of shoes. I plan on returning in a few months for arch supports. It is recommended to wait 6 months after foot surgery to get fitted for arch supports. My foot was actually measured by a foot measuring device. Something that is not found in the department stores.

Questions & Answers

Does the good feet store sell shoes for people with swelling in the feet

Francis Schulze | Sep 19, 2018
The Good Feet Store | Sep 19, 2018

It depends on how bad the swelling is. I recommend that you come to the store and we will personally size you and perform a needs analysis. From there we will either fit you or at least guide you on what you should get.

Hi Laura, yes, they have shoes in the store for you to look at, try on, and buy. They can also order them from the manufacturers for you as well.

Is it necessary to see an orthopedic, or podiatrist (for prescribed foot care) prior to coming? If you do, is it possible to have expenses covered, at least in part?

The Good Feet Store | Sep 19, 2018

Hello, Many of our clients come in without having seen a physician first, and whether you have or have not seen a physician will not change your fitting. We accept HSA and FSA cards, Cash, Credit, and Check for payment. I recommend you call 24 to 48 hours in advance to make an appointment, 860-677-0151. Let us know if you need anything else! -Michael

Does your shoes help people who have Norerapathy and heel pain due to bone spurs?

Michele Brown | Sep 19, 2018
Michael Gallagher | Sep 19, 2018

Shoes will not get your arches into an ideal position, nor help with conditions like heel spurs and neuropathy. Only orthotics can do that. Good Feet would fit you for the orthotics and then you can wear whatever shoes you want.

Do you carry New Balance sneakers?

Joe Renda | Sep 19, 2018
The Good Feet Store | Sep 19, 2018

New Balance does not allow distribution within a close distance to one of their stand-alone stores. Since there is a New Balance store down the street from us, we can not carry their shoes. In any case, if you have a foot, knee, hip, or back problem we would focus on what is inside your shoes rather than the container your foot is in. Most of our clients will be fit for the orthotics and then in most cases the shoe doesn't matter.
