Staff were not friendly or very attentive. No greeting when I came in and after my purchase no Thank You either. There was only one other person in the store and and another staff person was chatting with her at her table. I dont know if I will be back

No Maureen we do not. We mill our wheat here in the bakery, so we are a flour environment. We honestly could not do a gluten bread recipe and call it gluten free because of the flour dust.
We are sorry you were not satisfied with our pie. The crest is made with white and our 100% whole wheat flour. It is also made with butter not Crisco. That is why it is not crumbly. We also roll it out a little thicker so it hold the filling. The apples, we use fresh apples and many of them were thick so they do not soften. We are sorry it is not what you expected. We would like you to come in some time and pickup a free bred of your choice.
I would consider all of our Wheat bread very healthy. We mill our wheat in the store and use it within 48 hours, so it is 100% whole wheat. We do not use any preservatives in our breads. As for a dark, almost black bread, we have two options. Colonial Brown Bread is a white and wheat blend with molasses, honey, oats, cracked wheat and a 9-grain mix. This is not offered every month and is on a rotation with many other breads. We also offer a Pumpernickel Rye bread, every other month. It is a combination of wheat, rye and pumpernickel flour with molasses and caraway seeds. You can check our website for the monthly menu (www.ghbreadct.com). You will see a flour indicator next to every bread. Bread that are 100% whole wheat will have a (H) next to it. Thank you for asking.
All breads for the current month are listed on both our WEB site and Facebook.
Yes you can. the best way is to order tomorrows breads. We can make to order and can adjust our batch sizes according to all orders placed. You can now be sure that you get the bread you desire and we have not sold out.
