One word: Predatory! They charge fees for absolutely everything. On top of that, they hide behind, "it was in the material we provided when the account was opened." Not to sound like an ageist, but if the account owner is pushing 80, and has health issues, they're not really going to remember the fine print. Wouldn't it be kind to remind a customer of the rules when you see they've incurred $100s in fees, especially when their account is very low due to being on a fixed income? It's disgusting how money hungry this place is, and how seemingly little regard they have towards the elderly.

Superior Customer Service, offered services to clients are efficient at a low cost and helpful. Even after using other financial institutions, I found myself coming back & using VCCFCU due to the overall satisfaction they gave me.

It doesn't even deserve a one. I was very loyal to the Van Cortlandt Credit Union for over 32 years. I had most of my money there (and it was quite a bit). Suddenly their interest rates plummeted, but that I didn't stress over because it was still over what Chase would pay. So, I maintained a Chase account because of their free services (ATMs and checks) but kept most of my money with the credit union. I was going to buy a house so I needed some of the money for it. I ordered checks in advance to prepare but I found out that they need certified checks (specifically made out to each agency) so I went into the office and requested the checks that were needed (honestly only a small portion of the money). Their answer was "We don't do that", pretty nastily I might add (and trust me I'm not easily offended). I tried to ask them what could be done to rectify the situation and they were really really nasty and said "nothing". So I said "I'll pull my money out" and the worker actually said "Ok, whatever". They did cut a check for me for the entire amount so that I could Chase to help me. Chase cut all my checks for free and got the rest of my money as well. To be honest, it broke my heart. I grew up believing in the credit union. I lived close by and always had faith in them. Even when I moved I kept my money there because I believed in them, despite many inconveniences. What broke my heart was their nastiness and complete lack of caring. They lost a money that day...and I lost my belief in them and a lot of fond memories when I was young. I cannot recommend them at all. Again, it breaks my heart.

We only offer notary services for members. You would have to call in advance to see if a notary is available on that day.
If your question refers to stock/bonds, I don't think so.
Hi Nathan. Vccfcu online banking is free. You can make transfers for free between accounts within the credit union if you linked them when you filled out the service application at sign up. You can only transfer between accounts originally linked at sign up, we do not do external transfers to other institutions. If you need to transfer to another account within the credit union and you are not linked, simply send us a secured message through your virtual branch secured email (the little envelope on the upper right hand corner once you log in) and we would be happy to assist your further.
