Did not come here, even though the doctors are amazing the office staff is absolutely horrible. The medical assistants make most of the decisions without the doctors input. The front office staff is horrible at referrals and insurance verification. Most of their staff barely knows how to speak or even write English you have to spell everything for them. They don’t even follow up or do their job correctly. When you’re sick, it’s too much of a headache dealing with the incompetent office staff. Too bad because both Dr. Perfecto and Dr. Mercado are amazing I wish they would get new office staff.

Literally sat in the waiting room for almost 2 hours... mind you my appointment was for 2:00... and they tell me to arrive 10 minutes early. For what? .. Would not recommend.

I am a patient since 2018 and I have always received excellent healthcare, referral services and followup consultation. All the staff from the very thorough receptionist, to the nurses, to Francisco Gonzalez, PA., to Dr. Michael Mercado, have always been patient, informative, knowledgeable and supportive. I would recommend West Orange Family Medical Care to all my family and friends.

How can I start my experience at West Orange Family Medical. I am new to the area and decided to make an appointment for a regular check up. As a entrepreneurial with several businesses, I am big on customer service and a friendly receptionist. When I approached the desk, I was in shock with the receptionist attitude. She was un friendly and rude, I have never felt so uncomfortable in a doctor's office before. After seating for a few minutes, I decided to ask the receptionist what does a physical Intel to determine the difference between a check up and a physical, she said and I quote "I don't know you're gonna have to ask the dr when you get to the back". It was a really bad experience, I decided to leave immediately and made another appointment with another physician. My 2nd appointment at another office was completely different night and day, with friendly staff. I normally take time to read reviews before I go to a dr office and was surprised, with what I was met with, here. Not sure if family is writing reviews, but hopefully someone will train the front desk staff on Customer Service.
