BANFIELD IS A SCAM, STEER CLEAR. Not only was I very dissatisfied with this particular location, where many of the front desk staff were rude and unaccommodating, but I also have discovered just how predatory Banfield is. Don’t get tricked into an Optimum Wellness Plan. They will charge you almost $600 a year and if you try to cancel anytime outside of the renewal, they will tell you that you owe astronomical costs for all previously provided services. Comprehensive exam? $412. Doesn’t matter if it occurred during months when the plan was active. You will be retroactively charged some crazy high prices if you try to cancel. And they will always call you to schedule an exam as soon as the plan autorenews, so you can never escape their predatory practices. Care about your pet? Don’t go here. We wanted to cancel because our cats get really anxious when they have to be around other pets. We thought with COVID getting better, they would change their practices to allow pets to be brought for the visit, be seen with their owners, and then taken home. Nope. You have to leave your poor pet the entire day stuffed in a back room with tons of other dogs and cats and you can’t take part in their care at all. It’s truly appalling. We want to move to a local vet who will see our cats when they are scheduled for a visit and then send them home with us, but have discovered it would be so ridiculously expensive given the sneaky and questionable business practices that Banfield employs.

Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
