I brought my young bunny, Hashbrown, here on a whim! We had a very scary evening where he was clearly experiencing a GI-Stasis issue. I had roughly 24-48 hours to get him an appointment and Ridge Lake was the ONLY animal hospital in the area to get back to me immediately. They were able to fit Hashbrown in ASAP. The receptionist was very friendly, personable, and helpful! James was the technician who took Hashbrown when I dropped him off and he was AMAZING! Very comforting, professional, and kind. He helped me give my bun his first round of medicine which soothed my nerves a lot. You can really tell everyone here cares about your pet. The veterinarian (wish I remembered her name) was wonderful! She took amazing care of Hashbrown and said the sweetest things about him. What I loved so much about my experience is that the staff also informed you on how to prevent issues from coming back so you can save money. I had no idea where to take my exotic pet - and now I won’t go anywhere else. Hashbrown was completely healthy and back to normal in just a matter of hours. I see a couple of reviews complaining about the prices at this clinic, but as someone who has been to a cheap/affordable clinic and had a horrible experience with my puppy... I will pick a few extra dollars every time. Your pet is a financial responsibility that you accepted and committed to. I am beyond thankful for the whole team at this animal hospital! Hashbrown and I will be back (hopefully only for check ups moving forward, LOL)!

2 stars because they’re overcharging and they know it too. A simple examination for my rat was $98.40. Holy hell. Wish I could give a better rating because the staff was very friendly and the exotics doctor was informative, but ultimately it comes down to service and everything surrounding it. In other negative reviews, you will see the clinic Practice Manager (Sherry Meier) saying to clients, “quality service comes first, not price” as a way to justify their BS fees. This clinic charged $60-70 for a clients nail trim— look for the review. Nail trimming is not a difficult task, especially if you’re a professional. Quality service my a$$ lol… But at least the staff is friendly.
