Linden Heights was very professional when it came to our dog, Buddy, crossing the rainbow. Thank you to all the staff for helping us.

Having three pets as established patients with this practice, I have to say I was very disappointed when I called today to make an appointment for my rabbit and was told Dr. Greene had left the practice. She was the only vet who could treat exotics and so far there is no replacement for her, so unfortunately they wouldn’t be able to see my rabbit. Exotic vets are hard to find in this area so I asked for a referral and was given phone numbers for a few other practices, only one of which is actually accepting new clients and has a four-week wait for an appointment. It was recommended I take him to the emergency vet in Purcellville if he needs immediate care. Unfortunately, I’m dealing with a geriatric rabbit who doesn’t travel well and may not even survive that trip should I have to make it. While I understand many business are facing staffing shortages, I also feel that at a minimum, the practice could have been proactive in notifying established patients of Dr. Greene’s departure. At least then I could have taken steps to get my rabbit established with another vet before he actually got sick and needed care. Instead, they’ve left me and my poor senior rabbit high and dry to suffer several weeks with a potential eye infection while we wait for an appointment at another practice.

They misdiagnosed our Dachshund who had a disc blow out and was dragging her behind. For 2 months Dr. Joe told us our dog pulled a muscle. It was a, "give her this medication, or try this accupuncture and bring her back next week," thing that dragged on for two months and cost over $1500. We had to beg him to give us a referral to a neurologist, which is the only way you can get an appointment with them and the doctor there knew it as soon as he saw her walk! An mri showed her disc was 75% compressed from the disc material that had burst. They also misdiagnosed our other dog and was giving her meds for cushings when she didn't have it. Beware.

We have had four pets that have gone to Linden Heights. While their prices are significantly above average, we used to feel like we got above average care; paired with a convenient location for us, that kept us coming. Now however, the high price does not feel worth the cost whatsoever. While other offices and businesses have loosened protocols for COVID to match the expectations of the state health department, Linden still refuses to let pet owners into the building; forcing animals into traumatic situations without their human guardians by their side, and relegating conversations with the vet to stilted phone conversations while we wait it the car. It’s absolutely ridiculous at this point and I do not believe we will continue to pay such a high price for such poor care.

We see dogs of all sizes; however, we don't 'specialize' in any size in particular.
It's difficult to pinpoint a cause unless one of our veterinarians examines your pet. There can be so many different variables.
