Highly Recommend!!! Great cleaning company. I surprised by the amount of communication they provided before the cleaning happened. Their tips and suggestions were a very good way to get the most out of the time our cleaning lady was here.

Rosemary is excellent. She adds extra touches every week that individualize the service, particularly if I have done 'precleaning.' Had company this week with toddler arriving on cleaning day, and it was awesome not to have to think about a little one crawling, sitting, walking on floors. Add to that the awe when we realized the grill exterior was wiped sparklingly clean. Having met Rosemary on a day off, I love that she is our cleaner, and try to leave today's Christian station playing for her.

Questions & Answers

Is there a difference between a maid and a housecleaner?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Every region is a bit different in the terminology, but here in Naples, a Maid is typically considered a full-time private housekeeper. They are employeed directly by a homeowner who handles all the tax, insurance, and scheduling of their person. They do not work for a company but are individual private staff. A Maid in addition to doing housecleaning may cook meals, maintain a home's schedule and sometimes even help with errands and childcare. So if you're looking for that level of service you would be seeking a maid. A Housecleaner in our region is considered someone who cleans homes and does not manage them. They typically work for a company or are solopreneurs and have their own insurances. They would offer various types of cleanings and levels of services (depending on the client's request) but they are not running errands or cooking dinner and doing dishes or watching kids or pets.

What shoud I expect to be cleaned by my housecleaner during a routine visit?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Insert disclaimer here.... EACH house is unique and in my company, we do maintain notes on each individual home for any special requests/needs that are maybe not "standard." The cleaning person or company you hire should have the ability to do this as well to give you a consistent quality cleaning which you mutually agree upon. But, typically a standrad routine cleaning includes these tasks: ~Scrubbing the showers, bathtubs, toilets, and sinks(minimal or no buildup) ~Wiping all countertops, backsplashes, and appliances outside(inside microwave) ~Cleaning mirrors and glass ~Dusting and polishing the furniture ~Sweeping and mopping all bare floors ~Vacuuming all carpets ~Spot Clean sliding glass doors on the inside and clean the tracks ~Change linens on one bed and tidy up any additional beds.

What cleaning tasks can I do each day to help keep my house clean in between my official housecleaning?

Follow these simple tips and I promise you'll be cozied up on the couch each night with a tidy and clean space around you. ~Open mail right away and sort/toss/recycle immediately ~Invest in baskets for shoes/remotes/pet toys, anything that seems to be cluttered easily ~Include EVERYONE in the family for each night a TEN-minute cleanup of their area. ~Load and start the dishwaer each night, do not let those dishes accumulate around the house either ~Invest in a Roomba or vacuum robot for daily cleaning if you have pets ~Keep a basket in the bathroom for small items to keep the counters clear ~Store Clorox wipes under the bathroom sink for a super quick mid-week wipe Remember......Baskets are your friend. If they're overflowing? It's not time to get more baskets, it's time to sort, but that's a seperate topic🤣🤣

Should I be cleaning for the cleaning person to arrive?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Yes, well...Kind of Yes. 🙄You should pick or tidy up. We hear this so often, "my partner thinks I'm crazy to clean for the cleaning lady." Well, you're not crazy we promise. The best thing you can do to have a terrific experience from your cleaning is to pick up, aka "clean" for your cleaning person. By clean, we mean, pick up toys, shoes, books and remotes and toss in baskets. Clear off your kitchen and bathroom counters of clutter that's accumulated during the week. Put away valuable or breakable items and get your laundry in a pile and the dishes in the dishwasher. We call it the 30-minute sweep. Your 30-minute prep on the morning of, or night before your cleaning, will make a huge difference. Your tech can then focus on "cleaning" the house vs picking up. Although obvious to you, your cleaner really doesn't know where your items go.😵

Should I be tipping my house cleaner?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Our second most asked question we get in the office.💲 The answer is yes you should be tipping your cleaner. We know it's awkward to ask them or even when you call and book an appointment. But for sure the answer is yes. How much? Typcially about 10% of your serivce fee that day total. So you're $150 cleaning you may want to leave around a $15 tip for your cleaning tech. Some of our clients just tip during the holidays or leave it once a month etc. It's completely up to you. If your cleaner is wowing you each time, a bottle of water and $10 will go a very very long way and it is very much appreciated.

Why do most people hire a housecleaning company?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

We've heard it all, but the Top 5 reasons we hear of why people hire a housecleaning company are: #1. Tired of fighting with kids about messes(psst... they will be gone soon, their room will be empty😥insert college parents crying here, don't fight now) #2. Tired of fighting with spouses about their messes(YES this can & HAS saved marriages) #3. I'm just too busy with my kid's activities to clean on weekends and I never get a day off(we hear you soccer moms!)⚽ #4. I am not a Supermom. I just can't keep up. (NO you ARE a supermom & you are NOT alone in thinking this way, so stop it and just call us) #5. I work from home and I am going to write it off as a business expense.💸 Bonus because it's kinda funny: #6. Don't tell anyone(especially my mom), but I kinda don't know how to clean. It ends up taking me all day and I am just not good at it.😳

Who hires housecleaning companies?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Gone are the days of housecleaning services being just for the rich & famous. Busy lives and lifestyles of families, young professionals and our retirement community makes a cleaning service budget just as common as having your lawn and pool serviced. Our most typical client? Families with kids who are old enough to be in sports, dance & other activities, but still young enough that they can't drive themselves. 🚗 . So parents= taxi service. Taking back their weekend for family and fun is the great common denominator for our families. Busy professionals with active lifestyles & social lives or who may travel a lot are also regular clients of ours. For sure our retired community. Hey....we know you CAN clean your house, BUT you've done it your entire life. It's tiime to pass the cleaning baton on to someone else and enjoy your retirement. Psst, let me tell you a secret.....lazy people DO NOT hire cleaning services. YOU are NOT lazy, you are a Smart, Sensible, Go Getter. 👍

How will my cleaner get in the house? Do I give you a key?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

We're keyless! Gone are the days of homeowners' keys floating around Naples. Lost keys, Keys in pockets, cars and forgotten at the office. What does that mean for you? Luckily most homes now have a keyless entry and you can give us our own code to enter the home. Another option is a garage code or place a lockbox somewhere for us if you need to. Or.... the good old fashioned key under the mat can work as a last resort.

How many people come clean my home?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Most homes you will have one cleaner assigned to cleaning your home. Team cleanings are reserved for some of our larger Naples houses or circumstances. Some of our clients and myself actually, when we started doing solo cleanings, initially felt it was going to be hard to just have one person cleaning. So we know how you may be feeling with this answer. Honestly, we have found there are many benefits for having a solo cleaner. Solo cleaners give a much more detailed experience. Teams of cleaners are in many homes during the day (5-6 sometimes) and around many people while our solo techs avg 2 homes per day by themselves. OH and they LOVE it. NO, they don't get lonely. Our clients really have found they love having one person in their home that knows it best and takes care of it. You have one cleaner assigned to your home, they’re your cleaner. They get a routine, they just give you more attention to detail because of their enhanced training and ownership of their work.

Do you carry insurance in case something happens in my home or while your cleaner is in my home?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Yes, Yes and Yes. We carry Liability Insurance, Workers Comp Insurance and are Bonded. This is the the triple crown of insurances and any company you hire should be able to produce these for you. The most important IMHO is Workers Compensation Insurance. Staff can get hurt. They slip, they fall, they pull muscles, trip on rugs and chords. If it happens in your home and the company or person you hire is not insured it can cost you thousands of dollars in Medical Bills for that cleaner. So whoever you decide to hire, PLEASE make sure they carry this very important insurance coverage. AND don't be afraid to ask for proof!

Will I be a able to have the same cleaning person cleaning my house each time?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Our MOST asked question. And our answer is YES and.....NO😅. YES! Whoot Whoot. WHEN you sign up for recurring services(weekly, or bi-weekly)you will have one person assigned to your home. They're your "person" we keep them there and don't change things around once established. *Yes they have Dr appointments, thier kids get sick, and they go on vaca. BUT 99% of the time you'll see the same face. They know your home, your dog, and where the vaccuum is. They too love having a routine. And....NO,😢 WHEN you call us just once in a while. Or go away for summer or longer periods of time. You may not see the same person in your home for each visit, or the next stretch of services. Your favorite person may have been reassigned to another route. The only way we keep our AMAZING staff, that you love too, is to keep them working fulltime. *Tell us your favorite and we will add that to your preferences and will always work with matching you with them. Match.com for cleaners🤣🤣

Do I need to have cleaning supplies ready for you or do you bring your own?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Gone are last minute trips for Windex and Dusters. We come ready to go with most any cleaning products we will need* See that * above? 😎IF you have any specialty floors, counters or surfaces that your installer, manufacturer, best freind or mom said ONLY use this product. Then let us know where you keep "that" product and we'll be sure to use it. We're also a bleach-free company so we won't have bleach with us beyond a bit of soft scrub with bleach. Do you love Clorox Cleanup and love to use it? Then just place it out in that shower that needs a little extra TLC, we're going to ask you to sign a bleach waiver to not hold us responsible. YUP, it's a thing. Bleach is unforgiving so we just don't supply it. It's hard on our staff's lungs and clothes, and even harder on your carpets/couches/wood surfaces. Vacuums are the one thing we can't disinfect between homes. We ENCOURAGE you STRONGLY to supply your own. It's your dust/germs. Cats or shedding dog homes we will use yours.🐱

How often should I get my house cleaned?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Let's be real for a moment! We probably all Feel like we want housecleaning every day. Or maybe that's just me?🤗 But what we have found is that most homeowners like to have their house cleaned every other week so a bi-weekly service is a perfect fit. It's just enough to keep you caught up when you have a busy schedule. Looking for weekly services or even monthly recurring services? Weekly is often homes that have a super busy footprint with lot's of kids and pets as well as busy executives, or people who are in their home a lot, they like having that weekly service. Monthly serivces are often times the perfect fit for homes that don't get as dirty in between cleanings because they may not have a lot of activity in the home, or maybe travel a lot or work outside the home. The perfect amount of service varies for all of us. As long as you are NOT spending your Saturday cleaning, then the service you have picked is just the right fit for you.

What should I do with my pets when the housecleaners come to clean?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

We LOVE pets. We often have our cats and a dog at the office each day. It's kind of how we prescreen potential cleaning candidates without them knowing we're testing their fur baby love/hate/scardiness meter. We know right away if the "fibbed" a bit on their initial application. So with that in mind, we love them. our staff loves them, we're used to pets in the home. The issue is your pet is not used to us. And often times a dog(we know cats are too cool to care) will act differently when the owner is not at home. They're doing their job. Protecting your home from some stranger just walking on in. So we like it when you are home during the initial cleaning if you have dogs so you can introduce us to your own fur tribe so we can all be friends.🐩 Dogs bark and then usually just go lay down. Yes, some are escape artists and we're very aware of watching that nobody gets out our watch. 🕵️‍♂️

Do I have to be home when the cleaners come to clean my house?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

No, you do not need to be home when the cleaner is there. Most people are not home when we come to clean the house. Or they leave when we get there. We have heard from our clients that they love to come home too an AHHHHH moment. And if they're watching it happen it's like watching your food be cooked at the restaurant(and not the fancy watch your food be cooked places either🤣) Of course, you may work from home or want to be home during the cleaning. That too is completely okay. We just ask you give the cleaner some room to work. She has been trained to clean a certain way and in a certain order. No back seat drivers are allowed lol, she may miss some things if she's too distracted. Show some love and then show some space and you'll be so happy with the results.

How much does it cost to hire a house cleaning company in Naples?

CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022
CleanFlorida | Aug 19, 2022

Time VS Money. The profound debate🤔. What is your time worth; and is having your house cleaned worth the money to gain back your time? Well, we know how we would answer, YES lol, but what is the REAL cost? For a true and accurate estimate don't leave us hanging, call our office today and one of our team members can give you a price quote over the phone based on what you're looking for, and the type of schedule you would like. Prepare to answer this question...we're gonna ask😁 On a scale of 1-10; One being on the cover of Martha Stewart Living and Ten being on an episode of Hoarders, what is your dirt & knick knack level? Answer honestly! We don't judge people's messes, we clean them. It's what we do🧹. Based on a few questions during our intake interview(we promise we won't interrogate you) we can help get you the best price for you. Everyone's a bit different. Our average price is about $150.00 per visit for a general mantienance clean of a home around/under 2000 sqft.
