“exterminators” are here weekly and the rodent problem still persists. I watch mice avoid the traps and poison laid. As a timely and consistent resident I have pleaded with management to PLEASE do something more than bare minimum pest control calls and telling residents "thats just how it is". Rent prices are too high to not even be able to live in my unit in peace. I cant even have guests/company out of sheer embarrassment of the rodent problem on this property!

If you love being INCONVENIENCED and having your time WASTED, Somerset at Towson is just for you! Lived here for seven months now and I so badly wish to move. This review is lengthy because I think potential residents deserve to know the reality of living here. 1. When I filed a noise complaint for incessant thudding caused by loud music being played at 11 pm- 3 am, the response that management had sent back was disappointing and appalling. I had suspected the noise was from the building adjacent to mine because the sound could only be heard from my bedroom and the outside of said building. I had explicitly emailed that I've already confronted my upstairs and downstairs neighbors regarding the noise. Management replied with "I would recommend checking in either the above or below apartment to see if they might be responsible". They also told me "it could help if you were to place an ear to the wall in an attempt to narrow down the source of the noise"... That's great advice, what do you think I was doing up at 3 am? "With a direct confirmation from XXX that they are not the source of this noise, we are not able to move forward with holding them responsible unless we have concrete proof they are responsible." How would I personally obtain concrete proof about a NOISE complaint for a building I do not have access to? How does management know exactly which tenant in the building was in question? And if confronted with a complaint, who would actually admit fault to it? I understand if there's nothing to be done regarding the noise but the lack of attention to the initial complaint was very apparent. Problem UNRESOLVED. Was not HEARD at all. Time WASTED. 2. Due to an emergency leak in an adjacent building, they shut off the water in my building WITH NO NOTICE. I had initially thought it was just my kitchen sink so I had WASTED my time with filing a maintenance service request. Tried to take a shower just to realize it was not only the sink that wasn't running. Called management immediately, informed them where I was calling from, and before I could say anything, they asked "is this about the water shut-off?" So, they were already made AWARE by maintenance about an emergency water shut-off and told me "we only send an email if the shut-off is scheduled." Make that make sense. Why SHOULDN'T residents know about a last minute water shut-off? They had said it MIGHT come back in an hour. Most people don't have an hour to spare just for the water to MAYBE come back on... My sister also spoke to management later that afternoon and they stated "leasing takes care of leasing and maintenance takes care of maintenance." Then whose responsibility is it to notify residents about this? Once again, time WASTED. Problem UNRESOLVED. Extremely inconvenienced. I strongly recommend against living at Somerset. If you value your time and expect to be heard, live somewhere else. If I could post this review with zero stars, I would.
