I was injured with a fractured wrist and back injury after a fall back in 2020. I searched endlessly for a good legal team who could handle my case, while I handled and focused on my recovery. I was referred to Davis, Saperstein & Solomon through a friend. I was assigned to attorney Paul Garfield. I must say he has far exceeded my expectations on this case. Caring, concerned, and professional. He had a attentive listening ear and got to know me as a person and not just a client. I had many concerns, stress, fear and uncertainty at that time and he always ensured me that I would be ok and that I was in good hands with this firm. I truly trusted his judgement with the decisions that needed to be made and he always made sure that I was comfortable with every decision he made. I never felt like this was just one more case for them and I loved how it was personalized for me. His endless research was amazing, and his help from Jeremiah Larkin and Alexis Chalmers on informing me on progress was very much appreciated. They felt like family. My end result in settling my case was far more than what I expected and they saw me through and have made it clear they will see me through all the way to the final steps involved here. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking trustworthy, caring professionals who are here for the people. Thank You Thank You and Thank You!

I was referred by a friend to contact Davis, Saperstein & Salomon and ask for Rachael regarding a fall in a store. Rachael was easy to talk to, always accessible and very professional. Both Rachael and Klodiana were always available to answer any quesitons I had. Thank you both for explaining everything to me that I needed to do. I highly recommend this law firm.

Comparative negligence is an important consideration if you are pursuing an injury claim against another motorist. The insurance companies investigate and determine on a case-by-case basis how much blame to assign to each driver for a crash. If the accident case goes to court, then a jury will decide how much blame to assign to each motorist. Under New Jersey law, you may not recover compensation if your degree of fault is greater than the individual from whom you are seeking a recovery.

One would be surprised to learn that some of the most serious of injuries occur from a slip trip or fall case. Fractures of ankles, wrists, knees are common, but the most serious of injuries occur involve head injuries. Many people suffer injuries to their neck and back as well. These may turn out to be the most chronic of injuries because fractures may heal, but damage to a lumbar or cervical disc are permanent. Also, many people have preexisting conditions that become far worse and my require surgery to correct. Even though many times people will get up after a fall due to embarrassment, that is no indication as to the severity of fall down related injuries
You may have an injury claim if your injuries are extensive. But your initial medical bills should be covered by your own Personal Injury Protection policy. If your injuries are serious and your medical bills and losses exceed the policy limits of your no-fault insurance, you may need to file a civil lawsuit to hold the speeding driver accountable for your medical bills and other accident-related losses. This lawsuit is separate from any police prosecution of the driver for speeding or related charges.
New Jersey law prohibits the use of a handheld cellphone while driving. If you use a cell phone while driving, you must use a handsfree phone that does not interfere with safe operation of the vehicle. It is best to avoid talking on the phone while driving. Driver distraction caused by cell phone use contributes to many car accidents in New Jersey each year.
My suggestion, would be to report the accident only cause you can't count on the driver to actually pay out of pocket. They would pull a disappearing act. And if you sustained injuries to any part of your body it would be an important thing to check into the ER even if nothing is broken. Better safe than sorry. Call the firm they will help you out with any questions.
Under New Jersey law, motorists are required to stop for pedestrians who are vulnerable when on the street. The driver who hit you may face a fine, jail time and loss of his or her driver’s license for a period of time, as specified in N.J.S.A. 39:4-36. If your injuries are serious and exceed the limits of the PIP policy, you may need to sue the at-fault driver and his or her insurance company for reimbursement for your losses.

I'm not a lawyer, dont know what your case was for and dont know what injuries or treatments you had or if you had other procedures done. You should ask the lawyer you hired to answer that question. Not a client. Sorry. I dont wanna give out false information.
I believe Saperstein does both. They have offices in NY and NJ. Best lawyers I've ever worked with. You will not be disappointed
