My suggestion, would be to report the accident only cause you can't count on the driver to actually pay out of pocket. They would pull a disappearing act. And if you sustained injuries to any part of your body it would be an important thing to check into the ER even if nothing is broken. Better safe than sorry. Call the firm they will help you out with any questions.
Yes. New Jersey law requires drivers to report accidents to police if the crash causes an injury, death or damage to a vehicle. Do not let another driver talk you out of calling the police. The driver may be sincere in offering to pay you. But if the driver changes his or her mind after leaving the accident scene, it will simply be your word against that of the other driver.
