I've done the south trail last year and thought I'm going to die.lol The North trail is 4 miles around trip and moderate. I enjoyed it much better. There was some challenges as a previous hikers mentioned . A few fallen trees, muddy areas that made it slippery , lots of mosquitos. I was prepared. The first waterfall is nice about 1.80 miles. After that the trail gets more difficult with lots of rocks and narrow path. Keep going till you hear and see massive waterfalls with some huge boulders and water pool. Butterflies everywhere made it more magical. I can't wait to go back again.

First group guided hike with Waterfall Keepers of North Carolina. Learned about wildflowers and fascinating geology of the region. Massive waterfall. Could not believe I waited so long to visit this place. Company was excellent.Made friends. Saw old friends which was marvelous. Got some exercise. I have already attended a second event. Will revisit this place so my husband can see it.

Amazing view after a tremendous hike. It would be nice if the actual trail there wasn't so difficult to do even for someone in great shape. There were many fallen trees obstructing the trail there and going around them made super difficult to get to the end. All in all, it was beautiful but pretty difficult to do.

It's on private property(respect please) but whoever is nice enough to let others explore. Spring wildflowers-right now-is the best.
