The most professional radiology center in Florida. Excellent patient care. They all go above and beyond. Can’t say enough good remarks about them. They truly care about their patients every step of the way. The only place I will go to for any imaging. They treat you as if you are a member of their family. I have had several imaging done at American Imaging on multiple occasions and the staff has always been very friendly, attentive and professional. The facility is very clean, welcoming and I’m always seen at my appointment time. I do not have to wait like most facilities make you do. The doctor is very friendly and goes above and beyond to explain things you don’t understand. He even gives his personal phone number if you have any questions or concerns and actually answers his phone. When calling the facility, my calls are answered by an actual staff member in the facility and you don’t have to wait on hold for a long time. American Imaging is the best imaging facility in town.

This is an amazing office. Starting with Teresa at the front office friendly, knowledgeable. And I am sorry I don’t know the lady’s name that did my mammogram but once again friendly $ knowledgeable!!! I highly recommend this place if you need any type of sonograms x-rays MRIs CAT scans I was taken at my appointment time and right in and out 🤗

Hello Tammy, a prescription is not needed for a screening mammogram. However, if there is a breast problem/complaint a prescription is required. Pricing varies depending on insurance or self pay. Best to call directly with a specific detailed question. They are the absolute best imaging place in Port Charlotte/Punts Gorda area. Stay clear of Advanced Imaging! If you need something more specialized, Sarasota has Partners Imaging and all the latest like 3T MRIs. Good luck.
Yes American imaging does take all lines of humana. HMO plans require referrals or authorizations from the insurance company for all test.
The MRI at American Imaging is considered an open MRI due to the larger diameter and shorter bore than other MRI machines. Also the techs there are very sensitive to clautrophobic patients and will accomodate in any way they can to get you the best images at your comfort level.
Likely even a chest x-ray will show if there is pneumonia. Just speaking from my personal experience.
