Not helpful. And completely made my whole day a waste of time. If you need help with a animal, just lie. The truth clearly does no good here.

They don't care about those poor animals

VERY SLOW PROCESS 👎🏻 Probably understaffed as with most civil service offices. Easier/faster to just trap any stray animals in your neighborhood yourself and release them into the wild.

The staff is very rude and will NOT give my dog back to me after I told them I have proof it’s my dog then they told me I had stole the dog. If you find a dog I recommend to take it to another shelter

It would be great if you could it would be great if you could find one of the dozens of local animal rescues to take him. His longevity is not guaranteed at County shelters. Lee does a great job finding rescues and getting unwanted animals adopted but they are a small shelter and stay full most of the time.
Lee County Animal Shelter is always in need of donations. They have a list on their website of what items they are in desperate need of. Dog food is most certainly accepted.
Hello Donna. Sorry to hear of your loss. Don't know why I am receiving your post. I am not partbof Lee County Animal Services, I am a rescue, however I will help you if I can?
You should give them a call. To be honest I'm not sure, I adopted a 5 month old puppy and she's phenomenal. ❤️
Oh my goodness how old are they?? How many of them are there? So it sounds like these are not just random cats but maybe all from one litter? Do you have food for them? Why don't you check out Independent Animal Rescue in Durham, they might take them. Their website is animalrescue.net. That is the org I volunteer with.
Do you think they are feral, or pets? You should probably contact a local rescue group, who could help you trap them for rescue and adoption, or, if they're feral, might be able to set up their colony for TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release). Lee Co. Shelter is good, but this sounds like a job for a rescue group.
Hopefully they will have room at the animal control facility.
One of the factors is how crowded they are. But there is a popular misunderstanding about "kill" vs. "no kill" shelters. County shelters do not get to pick and choose who they take in--they have to take all animals brought to them. So euthanasia is sometimes unavoidable. So-called "no kill" shelters have the luxury of turning animals away when they are full, or if they think the animal will not be adoptable. So "kill" vs. "no-kill" is really not a accurate indicator of the quality of the shelter.
Call sheriff dept or police dept
8:00 - 4:00 for adoptions and drop offs
Do y'all have free dogs or cats?
Yes
Try asking if CARA willing to take them.
There is a really nice lady that runs the Lee County Animal Shelter named Omayra Zagada. Ask to speak with her.
I don't think so no Just up to date with shots & so.!
