I can't say enough good things about Kindred Hospice at Home. We admitted my father-in-law a few months ago when he started to decline physically and needed extra help. Little did we know how big of a help they would be! Every single staff member has done an amazing job. From the first phone call with Terry who was a warm and caring voice to the intake nurses, the office staff, and and the nurse, nurse assistant, social worker, and priest who visited routinely. They were also very responsive after hours which was very much appreciated. We have since had to move him in with us and therefore transferred his care to their sister office in Cary (Community Hospice) which we are also very impressed with.

If I could rate this facility a zero I WOULD ! Some nurses specifically do not know what they are doing! I ended up doing everything myself because the care was very minimum. THANK GOD I have a CNA Certificate that helped me out! Do not recommend this place at ALLL!!!!!!!!!

With pain and symptom management, as well as education and support, hospice care allows patients and families to focus on what is truly important When Life Matters Most. It is a unique health care approach in which the patient and family are the focus, not the disease. Hospice care helps patients and their families make the most of the time that remains. Hospice is a team of specially trained health care professionals caring for the patient and relieving anxiety for the caregiver/family. Our hospice support team helps patients and families with pain and symptom management, social, emotional, and grief issues. Hospice brings comfort and quality to the remaining months, weeks, and days.
Hospice care is for people who have a life-limiting illness with a life expectancy of six months or less, and have chosen to focus on comfort care over treatment. Hospice works with the patient and family to develop a plan of care specific to their disease and individual needs. Eligibility criteria includes frequent hospitalizations, progressive weight loss, deteriorating mental abilities, frequent infections, and/or an overall decline in condition.
