It's a good motel if you are a local resident that's in a pinch and needs a roof over their head. Also good for those that are short of funds. Johnston's Motel is the cheapest to stay at in Garberville

The owner is a great person but the crime rate is redicul9us. We were robbed by a person that started renting a room there.

Oh my. Where to begin. We picked this motel off of the internet because of the reviews at some of the other Garberville motels were terrible. Now we know why there were so few reviews for this place, smart people would not stay here! This place is a dump. Old, and outdated, the room stinks of cigarette smoke. The walls are awful, dirty and I don't want to take my shoes off, the carpet is so nasty. It's noisy and it looks like there's a bunch of folks 'living' here... who stand out on the sidewalks & smoke. Yikes... There's no ice machine. There are no glasses in the room. I do not recommend this place!
