If magic and fairys exist they exist here. It is beautiful and has wonderful hikes to go on and a great swimming hole. The visitor center is cozy and informative with a few snacks and cute gifts and a lovely backgammon set in front of a fire place that we enjoyed. I've been taking my kids there for 20 years and they love it every year. From babies just staring up at the trees to kids zipping along the campground on their bikes to jumping off the big rocks at the swimming hole as teenagers/ young adults. It's great for all ages! They are serious about the 10pm quiet time so if you are looking to party it isn't the place. Great for families and those looking for a quiet camping trip (although there is some freeway noise)

Unique set of forest. Great little place to visit on a long trip. I must see if you enjoy huge trees it was closed down due to some repairs but the upkeep has been great as long as it's been there.

Nice lunch stop location. If your in a large rig and towing pull all the way through to the back where there is a large turn around lot, you can park in. River access for a dip or walk the forest. Picnic table to sit and have lunch and bathrooms too.

No, but there is room for most rv's to fit.
$35 per night
During the summer, yes absolutely. We had to make a reservations 3 months in advance to get a weekend.
There is a poisonous algae in it right now (7/23/2021). So they are suggesting not to let pets in the river and if you get in to bring a change of clothes and shower asap. As we were driving over bridges it looked about a third of the way full. We had dogs with us so we didn't go to see it in person though.
You need reservations.
They were a week ago. Not sure now with all the fires happening.

For the most part it is unaffected but excavations are always a small possibility. It would be a shame if it burned.
I personally am not water. But there is water at the campgrounds and at the visitor center
24 foot trailer, 30 foot motor home no hook ups
It would be really tight. One lane paths and heavily treed
It depends on what time of year you go. The rates change based on the seasons. If you go to "Reserve America" and look up Richardson Grove, the rates will be posted there.
It's self checkin with a Dropbox for $ after hours
