My husband and I used to plan trips to Root Candles, but with the new ownership, the charm and unique quality of this local business has passed. You will still find well-made good-quality candles, and they have some lovely gift items, but the personality of the store is gone.

Took my wife and daughter there after doing some sightseeing around town. They were so blown away by the selection and unbelievable smells of all the different candles. So much more than just a candle store. They cant wait to come back again.

The place is huge, and I guess if you are really into candles it would be the Mecca for you. For me, as I went from room to room, it just seemed like more of the same. The place is full of crafty gift items, and I don't want to make it sound like it is in a nice place with lots of gifts available, but for me... Well, you know.

So many candles and they had what I wanted. So all good. I just wish they had more sales staff on the floor instead of behind the counter.

Yes, they are bound to have some. They have 6 rooms and an upstairs filled with candles of all shapes and sizes.
