Having reserved the room over a month in advance, we arrived to be told we needed to cough up a $100 cash deposit before we could stay in the rooms to ensure we didn't trash them, smoke in them, whatever. For a budget friendly hotel it's pretty ironic that you'd expect everyone walking in to have $100 cash in their back pocket ready to be pulled out unannounced. There's several more hotels on the same street, I'll just spend the extra 20 bucks and stay somewhere else next time to not be treated like a delinquent.

Made a reservation of 4 rooms for my employees to stay here for 1 week. When they arrived, they were told they had to pay $100 cash deposit each person to stay. This was not mentioned anywhere when the reservation was made. The manager was called and he said the fee was $100 cash deposit per room. Unbelievable that this was not disclosed when reservations were made. Is this how Red Rood Inns conduct business nation wide?

Positive: It was a great price for a one night stay, and it was what I expected from the area/price point. Check-in guy seemed really friendly and helpful! Negative: There were some stains on the sheets, but you could tell they were washed and just stained. The bathroom linens were awful but they served their purpose for a one night stay.

I travel for work fairly extensively and have stayed in many budget hotels. This is my go to for days when I have to overnight in this region of Ohio. For the price they consistently have the cleanest rooms you really don’t usually see rooms is clean or well maintained around the $50 mark. The staff is friendly and courteous and will go out of their way to correct anything if there is an issue. I have literally stayed here dozens of times and once or twice I have been given a room that unfortunately still smells like cigarette smoke from the previous occupant(this happens way more often at other locations). I called the desk and they sent me to a clean room immediately. As a non-smoker I appreciate the efforts this location goes to to try to enforce the smoking restrictions because I don’t want my room to smell like smoke ,other properties can’t be bothered.
