Just got home from a weekend camping there. The place is tiny and hard to get to from the highway turnover. The road was windy and on the side of a steep hill which makes it extremely dangerous if driving at night. The campsites were small. There wasn’t a beach area near walking distance from the campsite. I would not visit again.

I camped here for the first time this summer and it may be my new favorite campground! Great views and quite a bit of shade. The staff are really kind and friendly. Sites are pretty close to walk down to water! Highly recommend

Very nice place for camping. The staff is super friendly and kind. They keep the place clean. We were there for Father's day weekend and even though most of the sites were occupied, the campground looked very well maintained. The road to the campground is narrow and sometimes you can't see if another car is coming, so please be careful driving there. It would be good if they had showers on the other side of the campground, currently they only have showers on one side, is not too far but because we had a site on the opposite side, it was better driving there. Plenty of restrooms and water sources throughout the campground, which is appreciated. Make sure to bring ice and everything you'll need because going to the closest grocery store won't be quick.

Through folsom lake website there should be a number to call
Yes. Leash law applies
Basically if you can make the room for all your tents yeah. Depending on the site you have we were camped on a slope so little room for 3 tents.
These days it's somewhat far especially if you have lot of things to carry to the lake.

Rattlesnake Bar Road is open because people live back there. But the campground is not open in the winter
No. All camping costs $33.00/day. Reservations are made through Reserve California under Folsom Lake SRA. You may get a campsite one day at a time as a walk-in at the campground. I would call ahead because the drive down Rattlesnake Bar Rd is about 30 mins of a narrow one lane. But, it's beautiful there so definitely worth it. Please check parks.ca.gov for rules and regs because recently campfires/charcoal use was prohibited. You would need to bring propane/butane to cook and there aren't any stores at the campground so come prepared!
Yes to both.

It definitely costs money. We did reserve ahead of time, but from talking to other campers you likely can drive in and pay at the gate, but only if there are open sites. This park is not convenient to much other camping, so if it is full it might be challenging to find an alternative campground. Memorial day weekend it was fully booked..
Yes there is in certain areas
