Is this place not open on Saturdays? The building and googlemaps says Open until 4pm. Why does the VA make it so hard to actually help Veterans. The disability process is way more complicated and lengthy than it should be. I was injured and had surgery in the Air Force. It shouldn’t be this hard to get help smh

This is the best VA in all of Las Vegas, the other 2 are garbage. This VA I walked in and checked in, within minutes I was called in and was treated respectfully, they were helpful and was in n out.

Just a word of the wise, when I first started with this clinic a couple years ago everything seemed to be going great. Then as doctors left I ended up with one Dr. Caroline DeLuca. An encounter that I am still trying to straightened out. She intentionally lied on my patient notes per our patient visit. I ended up getting most of it overturned via a letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of General Counsel. This I found in My Health Vet page after our visit. Although, I filed complaints with everyone locally about the out right lies. I had to file a formal complaint with Washington D.C with a formal investigation. Although. Vegas VA was directed to reverse comments of lies I have been fighting with other doctors over these lies. There is absolutely no reason for a doctor to lie about anything as well as a patient. And to have local VA stand by her side till a formal legal investigation does not say we support our vets.

Yes you can
I'm not sure, but I was there into the late evening and they were all working. I also had an x-ray at 0700 so, they are probably available for the er 24-7
This is a primary care clinic, so I believe you'll be sent to the hospital for an initial assessment and then follow up care at this clinic.
Unfortunately there is not an Emergency depart at this clinic. Emergency is located at the VA hospital in North Las Vegas.
X-rays are the same as their business hours. An X-ray is used when a physician orders one or it's an emergency.
Hello, I work at this VA Clinic and yes there is an enrollment office. Just be aware that more can be offered and accomplished at the main VAMC (Main Hospital), such as change of information, transfers from other VA facilities, and release of information. Please call us if you have questions at 702-791-9000. Thank you for your service.
If you contact the Mental Health clinic they can get you scheduled with a provider and give you any information on VA support groups they have - I'm not sure if they have references for outside the VA
Monday - friday 0800 - 1600
They are giving them now
https://www.va.gov/health-care/get-health-id-card/ You can request a replacement card at the VA medical center where you had your picture taken. You’ll need to bring your driver’s license, passport, or other government ID or be able to answer a series of challenge questions so we can verify your identity before we give you a new card. If you’ve changed your medical center since getting your original card, you can contact the medical center where you currently receive care. Or, call us at 877-222-8387, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET. Our staff will need to verify your identity with a series of challenge questions before we can send a new card.
I haven't heard anything yet, but you can call and ask. 702-791-9000 (main hospital) When prompted push 2 and 2. They should be able to help you.
Only caregivers currently or spouses
Yes there is
If you are a Veteran and you are requesting to see a "Non-VA" and want the VA to pay for it you must meet certain criteria as to why it would create a hardship for you to see a VA provider. To make a long story short, for non-emergent scrnarios, a Community Care Act (CCA) consult must be placed and approved. These are typically ordered by one of your providers. For more information, speak with a CCA representative.
No pharmacy at the clinic. Only at the VA hospital. Depending on the medications, they can be mailed to you and that's how most people receive them.
Primary Care and Mental Health doctors
You can walk in for primary care and mental health anytime during normal hours.
You can check in around 6:45 when they open the doors, but they don't start to call folks back to to draw their Labs until 7:30 a.m.
Yes, Dr. Makino sees walk ins on Wednesdays (I think) and there are other MH providers available Monday thru Friday.
Enrollment Office opens Monday to Saturday 0730-1600. Bring your DD-214 or if amended, your DD215. To save yourself some time, fill out and print the 10-10EZ Form.
Actually some questions can be answered at the Local/Primary Care Clinics, Southeast Clinic being one of them. There are staff who do Enrollment, which involves letting you know if you're eligible for VA Healthcare, including Dental. You may be eligible for one or more benefits, or none at all. Your Character of Service upon discharge, disabilty if any, and other factors play a role in what you are eligible for. Remember the VA is made up of 3 elements, Benefits, Health and Cemetary. While it's one VA, each element may have different qualifiers.
