OMG I feel your pain. What I do that ALWAYS works is after you finally get to speak with someone...anyone. Let them know what a great job they've done and how can you contact a supervisor or CEO to give a commendation...they GLADLY give you the name and number....Then whey you get that CEO, give them an earful for me. THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!!!

It all depends on which plan you have (commercial, Medicaid, etc) your best bet is to contact the number on the back of the card and ask for an explanation of benefits.

Blue Cross is run by the New Nazi Regime. You will need a per authorization. It will be denied. You will need a peer to peer review for your Dr to do. It will be denied. You will have to do an appeal. It will be denied. You will be stuck with them until annual open enrollment. Enjoy.

Since nothing has been passed with regards to Obama care/Replacement. Yes. A penalty will have to be paid for no health insurance coverage in 2017. Unless your son signs a waiver declaring hardships. Or our ever changing news gives us a miracle report that the mandate is rubbish. Remember, the I.R.S will now reject tax returns with no health insurance disosure.
