This team is great to work with. I recommend them to anyone I know that need their facilities.

I think it's really unprofessional when Kathy called my phone to say that I wasn't hireable and I've never worked for the company at all so she just lied smh

My father needed full time care after a stroke and I visited most nursing homes in the area and was depressed about our options. Universally the places had a bad smell and the patient-staff ratio was not good. The last place I looked at was a senior care home called Nantuckett. It was a ranch house in a neighborhood, it smelled normal, very friendly staff and the patient-staff ratio was excellent. They were very responsive to any questions or issues and it felt homey as opposed to institutional. My mother went to live there to be with my dad and when he passed she said she wanted to continue to live there. I can’t thank them enough for the excellent care they gave my parents.

Senior Care Homes has been such a blessing. The care has been excellent, and the staff are amazing. My mother has her own room when she wants privacy and can be social when she wishes. There are many opportunities for group activities or just sitting outside and talking. It is very inclusive so no one feels left out. Meals are prepared fresh and delicious. Having everything she needs in one place, knowing that she is safe with caring people and eating well is all I wanted for her. We needed to move fast when things changed and COVID became a factor. Quick, efficient and they set up her room so she didn't have to! Best decision we could have made for mom.

Questions & Answers

Do you have lower caregiver turnover?

Jerry Pullins SeniorCare Homes | Sep 18, 2019
SeniorCare Homes | Sep 17, 2021

Turnover is lower at SeniorCare Homes than many larger corporate facilities. We do not use agency staffing and have our own team of both caregivers and nurses. The residential home model allows caregivers the ability to care for fewer residents resulting in a higher job satisfaction. Caregiver input matters and our teams drive care and have input on process, benefits and policy when possible. Expectations are high and there is no room to sit back and hide at a residential care home. Experienced caregivers are challenged and rewarded with chances to truly care for our residents and grow themselves with educational opportunities.

How is a SeniorCare Home licensed?

Adam, We are licensed as a Home Plus Assisted Living in the state of Kansas. Our governing body is the State of Kansas Department of Aging and Disability. We may be a smaller group home setting but still get surveyed annually just like the large corporate facilities. We are also required to have the same insurances, background checks and licensed staff. Warmly, Jerry Pullins

Is a group home safer?

Residential Group homes are smaller and more personal. With a higher caregiver to resident ratio, there is more attention to resident needs and quicker response times. Apartments become bedrooms so that residents at SeniorCare are out in the living areas throughout the day rather than isolated in apartments using call buttons. SeniorCare Homes uses motion sensors to monitor folks getting out of bed to ensure someone can be there to help within seconds. The small home setting lends itself to fewer falls and less unmonitored resident movements throughout a 24 hour period.

Do you accept Medicaid?

SeniorCare Homes accepts Long-term care insurance, funding by local organizations like the Masonic Lodge, VA benefits and private funds. Medicaid is not accepted but our simple pricing structure allows for proactive planning for Medicaid application approval. Residents at SeniorCare have successfully transitioned to a Medicaid approved provider when the time is right.
