Terrible Experience, visiting out of town months back and came to mass. As i entered the building i felt completely unwelcomed. As I took my seat i was immediately followed up by some one from the Alter comity, seemed to be a teen. I was told i was not doing things (correctly). I replied with “i’m sorry” but did not know what i did wrong. sitting through this service was ok, most of the service was the blessing of the eucharist. I left completely unrecognized by everyone there expect one boy from the alter comity telling me to do things correctly.

We brought gramma home from TN to be buried there in the North Syracuse cemetery Thursday. We were so thankful that the parish she belonged to and her children went to school at was gracious and kind enough to send a father to lay her next to Papa! Thank you so much! My Papa was an usher for the church in 86 when he passed and you showed him great respect and honor then too! Thank you!

First the pros: *The parishioners are some of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. *The priests do know how to deliver a decent *The church in general is well kept and clean. There are a lot of renovations going on, do mass is in the gym for the foreseeable future. They’ve done a good job in turning a school gym into as holy a place as it can be. Now the cons: *The music. When the pastor first came, several people apparently mentioned their distaste for the music. The music director was replaced, but the music has not changed. It’s still the same music that plods along like an elephant stuck in the mud. *The pastor is ok, but if you are not one of his favorites, he rushes you along and turns to other people while you’re still mid-sentence. He’s obviously a busy man but it would be nice if one could get, “That was a good sermon” out before you see the back of his head. Maybe he’s uncomfortable with people he doesn’t know? * The GROW program. In the words of Forrest Gump, “That’s all I’ve got to say about that.” The church is a solid ok. As with all things it has good things and things that could use work.
