Scheduled an appointment for a tour of the facility. Me and my mother went together. A family member was seeking treatment. We wanted to see if it would be suitable. The day of appointment, staff took us to a little room and told us to wait. We waited for about 2 hours. When no one came to give us a tour, we decided to leave and they wouldn’t let us out. We were locked in and nobody would let us out. We were screaming and pounding on the door. The staff ignored us! It was surreal. We were told a Dr. had to come and okay the door to be unlocked. No joke! This place was an experience from hell!! Horrifying !! We never got our tour. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

This place might as well be a prison.

Complete failure. No communication even though I asked multiple times. Daughter came out worse than when she went in.

Stay away!! I admitted myself inpatient and wanted to leave once I saw how horrible it is here. I had to wait so long to see a doctor to see if they would let me leave. Finally eventually they did and I lied my way out. Thanks for nothing :) I’m back to how I was before the hospital. Maybe with more PTSD now thanks to Cottonwood Springs!! :) there are out of control patients that will harass other patients and steal their stuff and the nurses do nothing about it. The only thing I liked was the soda fountain in the cafeteria

You need to get doctors permission for anything, markers, phones, medical things like hearing aids and heart monitors, this can take 1-2 days. And the nurses rarely let you use it once you do get permission.
We encourage ongoing communication with loved ones and significant others. We have designated times on the daily schedule for phone calls. Exceptions to the phone schedule can be made for urgent situations. If you are calling to speak to a patient, please make sure you have his/her patient identification number. Without that number, we are unable to confirm/deny whether a particular person is one of our treatment programs.
They made special arrangements for me to have a private room; with the understanding that I would have to share my room if needed. I was there 3 weeks in privacy! ❤️ Having a private room was part of the care plan and treatment.
Yes! Dr. Dave Willie is the best substance abuse psychiatrist out there!
Yes, and they actually take you there every morning (unlike 2Rivers). And play music!
Please call our Assessment department and schedule a time to come back in for an assessment. You can also just walk in without an appointment.
No. It's a mental health facility.
No. Everything is kept in a locker. Cant even have your own pillow or blanket. They do have smoke breaks for those who smoke.
When going for an assessment, you are taken into the locked area of the hospital and put in a private waiting room. You are not allowed to take in your belongings for safety reasons...after all, this is an ASSESSMENT. If you are deemed to not be a threat to yourself or others, they will suggest the Outpatient Program during the day and you go home at night. If you have thoughts of self harm, suicide, violence towards others then YES, they can and WILL KEEP YOU. Usually a 72 hour hold, and you are better off for it. ♥️😊🦋
