The Overleaf staff were welcoming and gracious. My sister and I had wonderfully relaxing reunion experiencing their hospitality. The seaside ocean views are breathtaking. The food was delicious, even meeting my gf needs. Thank you for hosting this Minneapolis girl and her Albany, OR sister. We had a great time!

The location is good. Yachats is a lovely town and our room had an unobstructed view of a picturesque stretch of rocky shoreline. However, we chose this "lodge and spa" largely to use the spa which proved to be impossible. After a very long drive we were looking forward to a soak in a hot tub only to learn, on check-in, that the spa is closed on Tuesday. We asked the woman at the front desk how to get access and she said we needed to make a reservation on-line and she gave us a web address. I tried twice but the web site would not connect. I was also unable to book through the spa link on the motel's website. The woman at the front desk said she could not help because she hadn't been trained. Really?! It's so complicated to use the hot tub you need special training? The room was okay, nothing special, and breakfast was a bag of cold vending machine "food." The place is just a pretentious, obscenely overpriced motel, not a lodge, and as far as we could determine the spa is a myth. Don't go there. Other places in the area offer much better accommodations with real amenities for far less money.

My honey and I spent our 10 year anniversary together here and it was beyond perfect. The rooms were the nicest I've ever had the privilege of staying in. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had great service and a tasty breakfast delivered to our door. It was quiet and peaceful having the window open to hear the waves and the fireplace on for a cozy feel. I highly recommend Overleaf for a nice treat!

Stayed 2 nights at the Overleaf and have mixed feelings while they remodel parts of the hotel and continue to deal with the pandemic. However, I will return again when things get settled, like the reintroduction of hot breakfasts and full spa amenities reopening, so I can up my rating to 5 stars. Good: Front desk staff are welcoming, efficient, helpful, and attentive to detail --5 stars!; 2-Queen bed rooms with and without sitting areas feel spacious and well laid out for multi-day stays; sea and sky views are terrific; beds and linens are very comfortable; the hotel is spotlessly clean even with a massive lobby remodel going on; the refreshing Spa whirlpools have great views; no road noise, only ocean sounds; excellent location, walking distance (1 mile?) to Yachats city center via an easy ocean front trail. Needs improvement: some of the wooden room furnishings appear old and worn; shower curtain in my 2nd room was too small to keep from splashing the shower room floor. I look forward to returning this Fall when high season ends, (necessary!) pandemic protocols are gone, and their remodel is a distant memory

You can still get a great massage at Overleaf. Just not inside the Spa. They have a smaller massage room set aside. Enjoy
According to a friend who lives in Eugene, there is a family of whales that lives just off the coast, close to Overleaf. I don't know when might be the best time to see them and did not see any while we were there. However, we were amongst friends and having wine, etc.
A little over 2 bills but they come with a Jacuzzi and the spa
