I'm giving the motel a 5-star rating, even though I give the area a 2-star rating (homeless population, including drugged up people wandering around). We had a LOVELY stay at the motel itself. The three queen beds were perfect for our party of six. I wasn't super thrilled that the single queen bedroom didn't have AC, but the hotel staff loaned us a fan that we found useful in blowing cold air into the small room from the main room. The motel itself was quiet and well-equipped. There was an elevator to help get our luggage up to the second level. I was really happy about this as we had the kids hauling luggage between the parking lot and the room we were staying in. We were pleasantly surprised that the motel exceeded the level of accommodation, amenities, and services than hotels we've stayed at over the last few years. Breakfast was what sealed it for us. We were delighted by the food options and the quantity of food! We filled our bellies and appreciated that it was a benefit of choosing to stay at Best Western Plus Bayshore Inn! The staff at this motel are awesome! We felt welcomed from the beginning of our stay through to the end!

Allow me to tell you a story...A story about how this Best Western came to the rescue of a newly married couple on their honeymoon... This newly married couple-- who'd reserved what they thought was going to be a lovely rental property in eureka--were in for the most dastardly of surprises. When they got to the house, it's true form was revealed: a disgusting mess that hadn't been cleaned, with stains and hair EVERYWHERE. The newly married couple realized they couldn't stay there, and so at 8pm on a Sunday, they looked up the nearest hotel and chanced on this Best Western. As soon as they arrived, he ran inside the lobby and asked the staff 2 very, very important questions which would determine if this Best Western would work: Did they have any rooms, and did they actually have clean rooms? The answer was a "Yes" and "Oh Yes"--which was exactly what he needed to hear. They reserved the room for a couple nights and found they stay incredibly comfortable. They were able to finally sleep restfully after a long travel day. There were even 2 restaurants right next to the hotel. One if which (Shamus T Bones) was EXCEPTIONALLY delicious and was dined at more than once during their stay--which they extended btw. This couple had a great trip. Oh...that couple, that was my wife and I. Thank you Best Western for your help, your friendly staff, and those excellent complimentary breakfasts!

If it weren’t for the screaming pool children at 7:30am I would have given this place five stars. Front desk lady was wonderful and very helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly delicious though I did take the last slice of bacon at 9am and like another reviewer said, I don’t see them refilling it. Wish they had stricter pool rules though as a courtesy to us travelers passing through who only rolled into town at 1:30am though.

Stayed for a night and we will be back! Clean, large room. Very nice pool area and two hot tubs (we only enjoyed one). The garden and koi pond was beautiful. Shasta at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Great options. Cute location with easy access to good restaurants.
