Just love this beach, and the surrounding rolling Foothills and mountains are modestly beautiful. The park itself is nicely designed small and intimate. The only bummers are the railroad tracks are right there and the trains do go over it at all times. And, dogs are not allowed on the beach so remember that before you take your furry beasts. Great place though.

Check the wind forecast, can be very windy. We got lucky and had very little wind this labor day weekend. Not dog friendly, dogs not allowed on the beach and there were foxtails everywhere at our campsite (#30). Overall itis not one we would book again.

Gorgeous and beautiful place to explore and relax with your toes in the Pacific sand. Truly a beautiful place and there is camping if you need it . I hope to go back some day .

The place is beautiful and the campground and facilities are very nice/well maintained. the beach is secluded and small, and it is very close to the Santa Ynez valley for wine tasting. I enjoyed our time here but cant say i would come back unfortunately. It was VERY windy, like 20-30mph winds, this is more of a RV camp to be honest because i guess the winds are very common and happen almost everyday. It was nice during the day but at night it picked up and was hard to cook/get things done. it left so much sand in the tent and it was not enjoyable to sit by fire. would rather camp at Refugio which is more protected from winds.

It closed long ago. the doc is unstable and you can't drive or walk on it anymore, it's all fenced off but the entrance has a great vantage point of the beach and campgrounds for pics😉
No hookups. Sites details are on Reservecalifornia.com
Yes, just not on the beach.
10 per car
There are multiple showers. They take a quarter per minute of hot water. Some of the showers were closed due to being flooded. Rose is wrong, there is even a free cold shower that's outside the restroom that is nearest the beach. 2 weeks ago the general store was closed.
Have you tried calling the campground or you can go personally and tell them everything
If you've made a reservation you can arrive with just enough time to setup your camp before 10pm (that's the designated quiet time)
