This has been one of my families favorite places ever! I never experienced a drive-in movie until I went here. Then I took my kids and they loved it! Dollar dogs, grilling, my kids playing with other kids while waiting for the movies to play and being carefree. It was an experience unlike any other. I will sadly miss this place if it closes down. Such great memories!

Loved this place, many great memories! Hope they open back up someday. I'm really hoping to get my kids out to experience this. Its truly an experience you cannot get anywhere else.

Such a fun classic feel! Love my experiences here but I wish they had a speaker system of some sort. Employee's were nice though. Got some great moon pictures!
Yes playing avengers end game and captain marvel get there early if you want a good spot I went last Saturday at 4 and there were 14 cars in front of me
We got there about 6:30 on a weeknight and had our choice of where to park. Only the very front row seemed fully occupied. By the time we left, it looked to me like there were still available spots toward the back. I'm not sure how the view is from so far back. We were in the 3rd row, I believe.
Depends on the time of year. First day of summer they start at nearly 10 pm. By this time of year, they'll start by 9 or a little before, as we approach fall.
Leave any time, after any movie or during one. As noted by others, there is no re-entry, so you pay to get back in if you change your mind. Also as a courtesy when driving out early, use running lights VS full on headlights, especially if leaving during a movie.
It varies depending on the popularity of the movies and availability of the film. Generally they change ones of the three times every week, usually resulting in a new set of movies wheel other weekend.
Car radio tuned to 90.1fm, NextRadio app on phone (need ear buds or an aux cord and a speaker to plug it into) or a portable radio with batteries. A very few parking spots (near the front) have vintage wired speakers that you can sit near or even hang from your car window.
Sunday usually, but if it's popular they'll keep it for more than a week & just move it to 1st or 2nd showing. If it's really popular they'll keep it multiple weekends.
In the past this has been a popular place on Labor Day. I imagine it will be this year as well. I would plan to get there early and bring sweatshirts and blankets as it gets cool at night.
If you have a car radio that can connect to the correct station, you can use that. Otherwise, you can bring a radio. The other option is to just hope the people around you have their volume up high enough for you to hear.
Can we request a movie? Whenever I call, no one picks up. It's just an automated voice saying which movies are playing. Is there any way of reaching them?

I don't know who picks the movies I'm pretty sure it's just the owner. They don't pick up I've called during show time when people are in office and I never get an answer
The movie always starts at dusk around 9:15 to 9:30pm and also due to the second-rate movies their showing I have been arriving about 7:30 and I've had front-row all three times I've went this year they have not been selling out as far as I know
Yeah. It's kinda crazy. We waited an hour in line just to get in. Many people only watch the first movie and leave, so if you only want to see the second movie then show up about 60-90 minutes early and you'll get a great spot for sure.
I was there a couple weeks ago. We got in line about an hour early and was great. It was a Sunday and there were bad spots still available if you came late. Early just gets you a good spot.
Check valihi.com, the movies change on friday. The box office opens 6pm Friday & Saturday. The rest of the week they open at 7pm. Movies start at sunset.the movies today are zootopia & avengers.
You can go to their website at https://www.valihi.com/
They rotate one out every week I think. Right now I think it's Jurassic world and the second Jumanji movie, the sequel to the one they released a few years ago.
Will there be port-a-potties outside the gate for the people waiting in line before the gates open? 2 to 3 hours wait is a long time for kids and some others. Hate to get a ticket for urinating in public.

Not that I have seen before. The line usually goes a half mile past the gates with people waiting to get in. There's a target nearby if you get there early enough you should be able to stop and get a good spot in line.
When do they change movies it feels like they haven't changed their movie in 2 months
Gabrielle Hynnek | Jan 7, 2020
kalli nielsen | Jan 8, 2020
They typically will change the movies every Friday- occasionally they will keep all three the same or they will keep a few of the same movies. Also, if you go to their website (just type in "Vali-Hi Drive-In) they will have the movies listed
Lion king, Toy Story 4 and Crawl. Movies start at dark and run until the last one is through. There's not a set time. Www.Valihi.com can answer all of your questions, in the future. It's an easy website. Check it out. 😀
you shoul check the website on fridays to see the new movies for the week. Www.valihi.com (for the weekend of 8/2/19: The Lion King, Toy Story 4 and Crawl)
You can come at any time and as long as the lot is not completely sold out, they will let you in. If it is sold out, you can wait for movies to end and cars to leave, then find an open spot. They only close the gate if its sold out. Fridays and Saturdays usually always sell out. Sunday thru Thursday usually doesnt sell out
Probably a few hundred.
They allow lawn chairs. Most vehicles park backwards with tailgates up. Families sit in the back of SUV's on blankets or the box of their truck in chairs.
How can I find out what movies will be playing friday june 21st 2019

Blue booted cats | Jan 8, 2020
You might have to call them, usually they update their website (www.valihi.com) if they're showing different movies on a certain day. If it doesn't update a few days before, I'd assume it's the same 3 movies listed (Secret Life of Pets 2, Godzilla, John Wick 3)
How busy is this place on weekends?
yamay brothers | Jan 7, 2020
Rachael Lamsal | Jan 8, 2020
Very busy! To see the first show on weekends you'll need to arrive at 6pm.
Anybody know how long they keep the same line up of movies? Looking to go weekend of 6/7 or 6/8. Wanna plan ahead for adults, but wanna make sure of the movies.
Mico Saavedra | Jan 7, 2020
Joshua Sieben | Jan 8, 2020
Usually change every week but sometimes due to popular movies hold over their website is always updated for the next weekend on Tuesday. Www.valihi.com
Every Friday. Sometimes there's a holdover from one week to the next, but usually it's a new lineup every weekend. The movies get posted middle of the week.
do they play all the movies everyday in a row or is it one movie each day?
Could not find the start/end times of the movies, any help is appreciated.
Palak Agarwal | Jan 7, 2019
Seneca Kier | Jan 8, 2019
They play all three movies every night. Start time is at sunset, so around 9:10-9:40. Usually the first movie is done around 11:45-12:30 with the second movie done around 2:00ish
Closed during the winter , and if I'm not mistaking the last opening day is the end of September but go on line to double check we stop going in September dur to the cold
Same time as on any night - shortly after sunset during astronomical twilight. Movies start latest on June 21st, and gradually start earlier on either side of that date towards spring or fall. The day of the week only impacts when the box office opens. 7:30 on weekdays (Sunday/Thursday) 7:00 on weekends (Friday/Saturday)
I not sure but I think it depends on what movie that's playing and for sunday people dont usually come. They work next day, but im not sure too lol....
Are there any AM/FM radio smartphone apps that let you tune into their radio station?
Virginia Lida | Jan 7, 2019
Lance Dolan | Jan 8, 2019
On Android i use nextradio. It's literally the only one that actually tunes in fm via your phone's hardware. You need to plug in a headset to use the app, and headset acts as an antenna. I did this last time i was at the drive in
Seems a little ridiculous but 5:30 is not too early. You can grill any time. We usually do it before, play some yard games, and enjoy the evening just like the backyard at home. First movie starts at dusk. 3rd one is over at about 4 or 5am...have not made it through thatone yet.
If you look o. The website it's kind of towards the bottom. It shows the start date of the new movies. But with the holiday it's a little different I've seen it as early at Monday before the Friday when it changes
It has a Med size crowd since school out and incredible 2 playing. 6 get you in a good spot. Around 6:30 fair. Make sure bring toys for the kids to play with until sunset. BBQ are aloud.
During the week you should show up around 715 and tje gates open at 730pm. On the weekends you should arrive around 530-6 cuz the lines start getting long.
You can arrive anytime, but all the good spaces with be taken and by mid summer even if you arrive early there's no guarantee that you'll get in.
Now, if you only the 3rd movie a lot of people clear out after the second movie.
Check their web site on Fridays to see any change in movie line up from previous week.
Come to the Vali Hi early as possible. The line to get in for the choice spots starts early. Early.
Like they said sometime in may but last time i was there i was there 1 hour early and the cars streched all the way past the highway on both sides get there early and bring a ball you can play catch below the screen well you wait for the movie to start Have fun!!!
This year it was $8.50 for ages 13+, $1 for ages 6-12, and 5 and under were free. No credit or debit cards accepted.
Looks like it's about 30 miles from Booklyn Park.
Ni. The r rated movies are played last. The first movie is usually Rated G. Then PG13. Then R rated. Alot of people with kids leave after the second movie
When are you going to show different movies cause theses three movies you have been playing for almost 2-3 wks now
Frank Jones | Jan 7, 2018
David R Gonzalez | Jan 8, 2018
Some theaters are still running Wonder Woman.
Could be the contract with distributor or production company, these movies for x number of days/weeks.
New movie line up is announced on Fridays typically.
