Went to get my e check at noon. I was the only one in the place! The older gentleman that tested my car was professional and had some humor. You don't have to wait inside that booth anymore for your test results. Whole process took about 10 minutes.

Self test was easy and fast. The directions on the kiosk are clear and so simple to follow. My gps took me to a whole other parking lot then suggested i walked the rest of the way. So just be aware thats not correct lol and the self test kiosk is in the same parking lot as e check building.

Easy, self check works. Need to be able to get down on floor of car and connect the thing, might be hard if limited mobility so come during the staffed hours.

Usually it's very easy. Today we went to the self service kiosk and it was not a good experience at all. The scanner wouldn't read the VIN number. Then after standing in the cold to follow the rest of the directions and don't manually the system said we had to go to a full service facility. It would have been nice to know that when we entered the VIN number.

If the vehicle's plates are simply being renewed or if it has temp tags - no, registration is not required. It would be helpful to have registration or title on hand, though, in case a special situation occurs.
The Self-Check kiosk is available 24/7 . . . following the prompts on the screen helps to keep it in service for others
The Ohio EPA site says 25 years old or newer
They're open 8am-1pm on Saturdays.
First of all to clear up Amanda's misinformation: they will not and can not not give you a dyno test! BAD INFO!🤣 Do not think you will receive a dynamometer test for free. That test is around $400 to check your torque, force and power. Basically for racing and such. To reset your ECM/PCM ( computer module): Just drive over 60mph for around 5 - 10min , start and idle for 5min, 0-60 once or twice , every car is different. Your vehicle only needs to go through a cycle of driving conditions pre determined by the manufacturer. Google: "make of your vehicle " DRIVE CYCLE. Many test parameters are available to see what's required for your specific vehicle. You can take it to Autozone and have them scan it for free before you re test or get a cheap scanner off of amazon. I/M readiness test is what you need to check. Good luck!
If it's after her birthday, then yes. If her birthday/renewal is yet to come, then no.
