I have been coming to this Publix for 15 years. Never during the hundreds of times in doing so, have I encountered such rudeness as I did from checkout associate “Robbin.” I went in for two items, water and watermelon. The produce gentleman saw that I was struggling lifting the watermelon out of the box, so he kindly offered to put it in my cart. When I got to the checkout lane “Robbin” was manning, I said to her that I would not be able to lift the watermelon on the belt. Was I wrong to make the assumption that she could just key in the item, and not have to scan it? She stared at myself and stared at the watermelon and didn’t say anything for over 10 seconds, so I attempted to lift the watermelon and her reply was if you can’t lift it, don’t put it up here (the conveyor belt). So I looked at her and stated that she “did not acknowledge me when I said I couldn’t lift it - you stared at me and the watermelon in silence.” I will never understand why people are rude and mean when you’re not rude initially. Word to the wise “Robbin,” don’t judge a book by its cover - you just don’t know who people are you encounter. I was shocked. Most times individuals at this location are pleasant and helpful. This person does not need to be #1 a customer service associate - she should be in the back cutting fruit or cutting meat, Away from the public. Or #2 - don’t work in the mornings. I’m certain Publix realizes that this is not the day and age to turn people away because of rude customer service associates. There are choices that people can make and I don’t have to shop here because it’s convenient or familiar, I am going to go where my patronage is valued at all levels.

Everyone was super friendly when we went. We needed to stop by the bakery and the young woman who assisted us was so friendly! The nice customer service was very refreshing.

Publix has always led the grocery chains for years. U grew up 11 miles from their corporate offices and home town of the Jenkins family homes.whem we moved to TN 6 years ago I was thrilled to see that Publix sign. Publix is first in cleanliness, first in customer service and first in having enough staff to make customers experience the best it can be! Their logo ' where shopping is a pleasure' is a true statement.

They have some rude employees (Robin)working here. This has happened on multiple occasions and I wonder if the manager is concern about it because her demeanor is a little too nonchalant. On one occasion, a young man did go far and beyond to help me. I really appreciated it and let the manager know she said he would be recognized.
