We offer "Open Tech Help" classes twice a month, as well as classes that focus on specific devices or software. You can find these listed on our events page. If there is something specific you would like to learn, stop into the Reference Desk on the second floor and we will he happy to help you out.
We have Xbox games, but not movies for the Xbox. We do have a large selection of DVD discs that can be played in an Xbox using the Xbox DVD player app.
Newspapers have been digitized from 1857-present and you can access them from our Research page. You will need your library card to use this database. Contact the Reference desk if you have questions.
Yes we have 3D printing and visitors are allowed to use it. 3D printers and copiers are operated by staff only and the tech lab is open M-Th 12:00p-9:00p and Sat 9:00a-5:00p. Patrons will be charged for the cost of the printing filament, at a rate of $1.00 per hour of printing, rounded to the nearest hour.
Library computers can be used for up to 2 hours per day. You can login with a library card or ask for a guest pass from the service desk.
Thank you for reaching out to find out about parking options at the library. Parking for the library is metered parking. The length of time for the meter various. Meters with 2 hour limits are $.50/hour. Meters with 10 hour limits are $.25/hour. Metered parking is enforced Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 pm. Outside of that time, you do not need to pay the meter. Meters can be paid with quarters, dimes, or nickels or via the Passport Parking app. I hope this information is helpful while you plan you next visit to the library!
Good morning! You do have to have some form of photo ID to get a library card, but it doesn't have to be government issued. It could be a school/college ID, a credit card with your picture on it, etc. Along with that, you will need a piece of mail with your current address. If you have more questions about what might work as a photo ID, you can reach our Circulation Department at 712-323-7553 x110.
Unfortunately, the Friends are not taking book donations at this time. You can hold on to them and try again at a later date or donate to another organization. Thank you.
We do have meeting rooms, but unfortunately, our meeting room policy prohibits private social events.
I'm just a bystander, but I found they are accurate to a Google search showing hours to be 9am-9pm weekdays, 9-5 Friday and Saturday, and only a measly 1pm-5pm on Sunday. Parking everywhere is apparently free on Saturday and Sunday (maybe Friday)
Yes! There is a copy machine on the first floor just past the Circulation Desk and one on the second floor near the computer lab. Copies are .15 for black and white or .50 for color.
